What time is it in Canada right now??

well canada does have different time zones. its 10:43 in montreal now

probably 7:43 in vancouver?

dont bitch at me if im wrong

ok, what about in Fernie? I've got a phone interview on Friday and i'm trying to work out when to call

hahah halarious, yeah were simple folk up here in Canada so we just decided to use 1 time zone for the whole country.. makes everything a whole lot easier

You might want to dig your head out of your ass before friday and figure out that the second largest country in the world has many time zones. Your interviewer probably won't appreciate your ignornace. That being said, it's 8:11 in B.C by my watch. 3 hours behind the eastern seaboard.

Well now that seemed a bit unnecessary, and I already answered his question. His profile says he's from Australia - give the guy a break. I'm sure any interviewers you may have won't appreciate your hostility.

so it says here i posted at 2:01 when really it's 12:01 mountain time. maybe that can help you figure it out in relation to where you are.

but double check... most of BC is on pacific time, but the eastern part is on mountain. i can't remember where exactly the border is though.

Damn dude, you're right. I couldn't remember which it was because that whole area's kind of weird like that. Thanks.

Sorry to the thread creator. An hour forward from what I originally said is the actual time in Fernie.

bahahahahahha i love you jesse. that was absurd.

no hard feelings though cab.

it is 5am right now in ottawa, ontario. and i cant effing sleep!

It is now 11:11 pm in New Zealand, and Friday starts in less that an hour! Fuck yeah weekends!

I guess I didn't really answer your question. Sorry about that.

wow dude,.. time zones dont go buy a horizontal axis,.. now do they??

try figureing out what fuckin time it is anywhere in the US and folllllllow it up to canada, and if you cant,.. we dont want you working here

wow...

never met someone so fuckin dumb...

plus they prolly have a world clock on your fricken cellphone,.

and if not,.

move back to the 1800's

ok see that'' there it is something with 8past.. and I have 15 past.. so.. the NS clock goes 7min back ? Nevermind I m still sick ..blame the medicine

I'm sure he's not 100% polished up on his US or Canadian geography or time zones BECAUSE HE LIVES IN AUSTRALIA. You say you've "never met someone so fuckin dumb," yet the rule of removing the "e" from the end of a word when adding "ing" to the end of it was something people learn in early grade school. Obviously, you had problems figuring (NO E) that one out.

That, and my cell phone has a world clock on it, but I have yet to meet one person whose cellular world clock has Fernie, BC on it, fool.

Ok, the fact that he lives in Australia makes it somewhat forgivable...didn't notice that before. So...no more hate in this thread?

wow ur one smart cookie,..

no fernie BC... but there TIME ZONES figure out wut time zone fernie is in and its not to fricken hard

Actually, Fernie is kind of a tricky one. There's a TINY part of BC that's on mountain time, whereas the rest of it is on PST, and Fernie just happens to be in that TINY part. You're the real idiot here. The end.

friday in the states is actually tuesday in Canada, they have to have longer weeks cuz they talk so slow.

The funniest part of this whole thread is that it was a Canadian who invented the idea of a globalized standard time system (time zones).

I was about to say.. its pretty close to half the province if im not mistaken... maybe not quite. but its a good chunk.

Ohhhhhh okay, so the method of picking a section of the US and then moving directly north to get the same time zone in Canada (which is what oSe said to do) is really valid for places like mid/north-eastern BC. Rightttt. And yeah, in comparison to the part of BC that's on PST, the segment of BC that is on mountain time IS tiny, thanks. Very small ratio, and that segment is smaller than Vancouver Island.. Check it:

But wait, I'm the idiot here. Worddddddd. And yeah, oSe, valid "insult" there since you can smell from from the opposite side of the continent through your computer screen and all, hey?

Canada's a bit more laid back, they actually run two days behind the United States. Give them a call on sunday and they'll be really impressed that you remembered this bit of information.

Then again, the winter time zones are slightly different in that a larger chunk of northeastern BC (which is what I was referring to in my previous post) switches over to mountain time as see here:
