what the Pope said about skiing

I read in Outside magazine last year an article about the Popes skiing history, he skied backcountry all over Poland i think it was before he was the designated Pope, there are supposedly some sick mountains there in Poland, really gnar gnar slopes... Anyways the Pope (or JP2 as the dudes at Outside called him) is too old to ski anymore but he said that the freedom of skiing is a blessing from God, and that resort accessed slopes are still cool, but the true blessing about skiing is that it gives us the abilty to explore wherever we want, i thought that was so tight, the article also talked about his old school gear and they said the bases were thrashed and they speculated that JP2 was a ripper, after reading the article i wanted to hike like 90 miles out to a glacier to ski, i'm so pumped for the winter, all i need now is my avy beacon!

its official then, skiing is the most holy and sickest sport around, sick because the popes a total badass, i mean come on hes got his own city/country!

well obviously he's too old to ski now, he can barely walk up some stairs without help.

they should just make a snowmobile attachment for the pope mobile so he could still unleash in the polish mountains and maybe tow people into jumps and stuff.

Maybe the Pope invented the D-Spin! I know for a fact Jesus threw cork 12's

I met him when I went to Rome 5 years ago. He said they (the vatican) didnt let him ski after he got elected pope, but until then he was skiin every year. He said he missed it A LOT. I dont doubt him, with all the work he has, skiing would be so nice to get away from it all.
