What the NSG has become

I know that there have been threads about this already, but anyway:

First of all, I am guilty of spending too much time in here posting worthlessly in threads that don't need to be replyed to.

The NSG has become a place for people to just post mindlessly. This is my cry out for help, something needs to be done. Just recently the NSG's post count passed that of the Ski Gabber and myself included have forgotten that this is a Skiing Website. Maybe it was just the long days of summer that has caused members to ceaselessly post, maybe its the fact that there are just so many members now. Maybe its the fact that there is so much hate and disagreement between members. At this point, I don't even know anymore.

There have been threads that have gone to 100s of pages, like MAD LIBS ON NS, or the hot girl thread (not that im complaining about that one). There have been threads about the cops, schools and sports. I would like to point out that these threads are appropriate to the NSG, but it has gone to far. For example, the movie "Snakes on a Plane" was a Newschoolers cult classic before it came out in theatres.

I know that there is no solution to this problem. There is no answer to this question. I am just a simple member, who wishes to see NS revert back to its older more ski oriented state, the very state that it was when I used to read though the articles and forums as a 12 year old.

 
Futhermore, I had to post this IN the NSG, becuase there is no other place to post it.

Yeah, you're right, I went back and checked. I think it was a thread that was brought back or something to do with the NSGs 1000000 post.

NSG has passed ski gabber during the summer every single year since I've been here. Last year or two years ago was the first year ski gabber didn't pass it during the winter. When you look at the ratio of every subject in the universe vs. skiing it's pretty understandable.

I guess that what im trying to get across, that this is also a random thought, and that I am sharing it with random people.

Haha.

All in all, I just miss skiing.

You could have posted this in site discussion, so dont complain about the cycle

And if you dont like stupid threads, dont reply, it makes them die faster

 
true g speakin. i enjoy this site for that reason. i barely go on the ski gabber because i get bored of reading about skiing in particular. i think i speak for a lot of people who love this site cus they can talk about all kinds of things with fellow skiiers.

I have only just started posting recently.

If you noticed, I've had my account for a couple of years.

And If you read I have been casually reading thought NS for some odd years.

I don't know everything there is to know about this site, nor do I pretend to. I'm just sharing my thoughts.

I created this thread with the intentions of people putting some input into it and commenting on my opinion, which so far has been happening and has been great.
 
It is a public forum and alot of these kids are from the midewest so pretty much this is all they will have in there beer soaked trailer park dwelling lives..... So there stoked on sister fucking threads and shit. Put yourself in there situation then think it over.
 
you pretty much summed up the midwest perfectly...minnesota is actually the land of ten thousand trailer parks, there arent even that many lakes
 
there are just the most pointless threads now, that don't need answers because there not worth sharing i almost created a thread, yet i thought it was quite pointless too. but seriously just stop all the random threads!!
