and yes, you guys will say it is ONLY about how we look. but really, this is a ski site, it should matter how we ski.
 
lol. actually most guys on this site care more about what they look like than 90% of the chicks i know.
 
i know. i listen to girls bitch all day about their looks. i dont want to hear that shit on ns either, but i guess thats asking to much
 
sooo true, half the people on here have pictures of themselves in a bandanna or some crowbars in their room as their profile pic.

but skiing, even if a girls isnt crazy good looking, is a total plus for me.

Ok honestly, this thread should be for everyone, not just girls. (since there are more threads about guys who are more insecure about their look than anything.) EVERYONE. Just chill out, let the haters hate, and be yourself, personality is what people remember you by anyway.
 
Well to be honest, you're not. I know there are some girls out there that kill it and could crush me in big mountain and maybe pipe as well, but by and large girls freeskiing, especially park skiing and girls on NS, are a joke. That is because most of these girls dress like thugs to look cool and then slide boxes straight and do straight airs. If you want my respect, earn it.
 
well thats easy for u to say i looked at ur profile. and ur hot so u probably look good no matter what. but ur right its not how you look its how u ski as long as u dont look like a complete gaper ur fine

A girl who can rip and has style is always welcome around me. But to be honest I don't have time to look for sexy girls on the mountain and most true skiers are more interested in riding. Off the mountain is a different story though :]

But, fuck ya, so many claim threads, style threads, please like me threads, hate threads....let's focus on progressing our sport and not about feeling superior. Someone somewhere will always be better than you at something...so lets get over ourselves and just ski....

Hahahaha. So true. The NS fashionistas. I give my guys crap for that all the time. They spend so much time talking about ski clothing. It cracks me up.
 
this probably get some hate but meh....
girls you are girls and as girls it is generally accepted that you do care about how you look, you put make up on, you dye, straighten, brush and condition your hair, you buy inordinate amounts of clothes. so don't say you don't care. you do. that said vanity should never impede functionality or attitude towards skiing but there is no reason to not look fly on the hill as well as off.
 
hahahaha, dumb bitches will be dumb bitches, some girls actually are killing it and they look good doing it. girls who care more about how they look then ski arent the ones killing it. easily said.
 
exactly....who effing cares how steezy you look if you suck at skiing. Looking good isn't gonna make you a better skier, you still will look dumb. Basically, stop giving a shit what you look like cause you probably suck if you care THAT much; start learning to rip, it will make you look better. /rant

actually you know what i love the most. when a girl/guy doesnt look good and they are just killin it. like i saw this one dad wearing a probably older than 20 years old one piece and he looked so stupid. i was just like wow look at this guy and im watching him from the lift and he just starts killin it in the park. nothing like amazing but still not what i expected. that guy gained respect from me because he didnt care how he looked he was having fun so unless your pro and have an image to uphold or your sponsors make you look "cool" who cares how you look go have fun and ski till ur beanies and tall tees are soaked and your baggy pants are worn out!

So I think that we should care about how we look- because if we didn't then we would look like this fine piece of ass

And like Ben said, plenty of guys here take as much time as girls do to get ready and look good before skiing and are all about the "latest fashion" on the hill whether it be SaGa or Jiberish.
 
There's a difference between buying a brand because YOU like it and buying a brand because you think it's cool because OTHER people like it.

Good: The kid in Saga or Jiberish that bought it because he/she thinks it looks cool and he/she finds it comfy. This kid skis because he/she loves it.

Bad: Making a thread asking people how cool your Saga or Jiberish looks and if it perfectly matches you crowbars. Spends a lot of time in the lodge making sure he/she looks perfect before getting out on the slopes and doesn't really try new tricks because he/she doesn't want to look anything less than super steezy.
 
So funny, just search bar tall t's and you come up with thousands of shots like this with guys pimpin their new t's and ski clothes. We're worse than girls. LOL!

Wait a minute........girls skiing is so far behind guys' because some girls care what they look like? That is fucking retarded. It has to do with genetics/hormones/the body/the brain. By your theory, all the girls that don't care what they look like should be at the same level of progression as men, and that isn't happening. This has absolutely nothing to do with it and you know it, so stop trying to sound elite and hardcore or some shit. Trivializing the difference between men and women to a simple matter of caring about looks is beyond stupid.

Just because someone cares what they look like, doesn't mean that they can't show your ass up on the mountain. Whatever someones take on looks is, has no bearing on their talent and ability whether it be good or bad.

you girls arent taken seriously because your tricks have been sub par in the past. but ill admit lately girls have been stepping it up a bit.
i remember seeing lots of threads with guys asking if "this jacket will go with these pants", or "is it okay if my bindings dont match my skis"
 
yea because that girl on the side of the hill looking so damn hot distracts you from improving your skiing. thats a shitty excuse for girls being behind.
