I turn it on, and the first story is about a local man who was stabed and died and they tell his best friend on TV and film him for like 20seconds crying.

Who the fuck lets this shit run?

Dave Chappelle was right, TV will play anything.
 
We saw a preview for the news the other day, and the shit on it was all depressing. My dad was like where's the sports news?!

The news is so negative, I never watch or read it. I'm happier that way... all I hear about on the news is like... a 12 year old girl who got scalped go-carting.. and I wish I hadn't.

I read the comics though. They're the shit.

i completely agree from a personal level. when my dad was shot i thought nothing about the news or anything, and then on the fuckin front page of the sunday newspaper i see our family picture with some bullshit headline. i'll never read the news again and beleive anything i read.
 
Well, apparently... Europeans have such a low birth rate, that... there is none. Or something. It said in the year 2050 the average Greek will have no siblings,no aunts, no parents, and no children (the Greeks have the worst birth rate) etc etc.

And I was avoiding sounding racist, but, from my skim over the article.. it is indeed about how muslims are taking over the world. Not the asians, as it's been joked/feared.

The Muslims are moving into the diminishing Europe, with a birth rate of 3.5 (per woman), which is a healthy rate. Now it is not that Muslims are bad people, but the Muslim religion does not tolerate other religions etc...

Some place in England is considering removing one of it's patron saints (statues I think) because it is holding a cross which offends the muslim population.. etcetc... basically, we're too nice. haha. When I read the full article, Maybe I'll give a summary and get my facts straight.
 
The news is controled my the government. The govermnent censures everything but what they want to hear so that people will believe they are doing the good thing. Do not believe everything you hear.

Europe is fucked.

Chinese and Islams are breeding like crazy but the chinese have bought in rules to stop/slow it down.

now if islam could realize that breeding like rebbits isnt the best thing.
 
^haha, anyone know the birthrate in Australia? Not that it would matter since we're literally being invaded by our Asian neighbours.
 
Unless there is some kind of genocidal war, their will be white minorities in both the U.S. and Europe. I believe I read that 50% of the newborns in the US are from minorities and its only on the increase. Europe is fucked, if shits keeps going the way it is and the Muslims keep populating themselves within the European nation like parasites, then one day perhaps another Hitler shall emerge, but this time against the muslims. God damn, when I was in London it felt like half the people I saw were terrorists passing out Islam is the religion of peace pamphlets. At least half of the towelheads of Britain agree with suicide bombing as a way of "protecting" islam and a good third believe that Jews should be eradicated. I still wonder what would have been the aftermath if the foiled plan in Britain had taken place. I suppose the Brits would continue to ignore the cancer of their society.

welcome to 21st century western civilization. we've become so desensitzed to graphic violence and grotesque images that we can shrug these kinds of things off without giving it a second thought.

think back 10 years (for those that can), we never heard of some of these things and we certainly would have never seen the images of these things.

with hollywood turning out such graphic films of human mutilation as SAW 1,2,3, HALLOWEEN, SCREAM, etc...we are simply accepting these images. with censorship going the way of the dinosaurs, who knows the kind of things we'll be seeing from the media in another 10 years.

 
i heard about that somewhere, i think for every couple they onyl have an average of one kid , something rediculously low
 
Uhhh.... the birthrate is so high because those countries are at a lower stage of developement according to the U.N.... once the people in these countries become more educated about birthcontrol, etc, their birthrates slow down. As well, once families don't need to be having 5-6 kids to make sure they can help keep the family farm going, the birthrate will dwindle... it's not as if Third-world or mostly eastern europeans are hornier, they're just less educated (in a western sense) than most first world countries... So, in time, their birthrates will slow down too...
 
about that birth control, maybe the catholic missionaries shouldn't be allowed into these developing areas because as we all know, catholics and birth control don't mix. and if we are going to have new devout catholics that are uneducated and are afraid to offend a hypothetical god then babies will be the result. of course though, the pope can fix that..
 
I was reading the news paper the other day because of this particular story that was written interested me.

Anyways it was an article about this fight that had happend at my local skatepark about 2 and 1/2 years ago that they found on youtube. The reason it interested me is because I wanted to why it was just in the news paper today? after the fight actually took place like 2 years ago. As well, I was there and watched this whole fight between these two girls.

And it astonished me as I was reading the article about how many INCORRECT statements they made, and how awfully wrong the story was. It was weird reading about something I knew everything about since I was there on the scene knowing that this particular article was entirely wrong in so many ways.

It makes me wonder how in-accurate most news stories/articles are (which we dont actually know, since we were not actually at the scene for all the events they write about)

Also I'd like to say I agree with mary, because its true, news is all negative stuff. And theres no real point in watching it.

Im happier that way.
 
People are sadistic, just like this site people post videos of people crashing and geting fucked up and others sit back and laugh. Someday something tragic wil happen to them and there gonna wonder why people are laughing.
 
i agree, the news is really messed up these days. everything i see on the major news channels is information about terrorism and n. korea. almost all of the information they give is negative and depressing. most of the time the stories run shorter than they should seem. only giving one side of the story and leaving big pieces of information out. that is why people must read or get their news from many different sources. get all the 'facts' and then decide for yourself what is really going on in the world.
 
While that is all bang on, how does it explain Islamic famlies here still producing 5-6 kids? They dont have a farm here.

Im curious to see what Toronto is going to look like in 10-15 years with all the subcultures/towns within it growing (chinatown, little italy, lil india, etc)
 
for socials class a few years ago the lesson was about how news is just projected in the way that the owner of the news company wants it to be.

so we watched 4 different news clips, and read a few articles, all on the same subject.

it was amazing how absolutely different each and every article was.

And not as parasites, no, more like... well, in sweden, leechers of the system, and in france, thankless non-integrating thugs. Actually, that applies to Sweden aswell. No effort to integrate, deciding that Islamic law superceeds any law here when it comes to their bullshit honor killings for someone changing religion, slave owning (getting a wife fromt he home country and keeping her locked up, without social code or identity, menaing she doesn't even exist to the country), and in general causing havok whenever they can because they're supposedly owed something for their mediocrity. That's mainly France, as you could see with the riots a while back, and in every "banlieue" really. Wastes of space, many of them.

It's a stereotype for sure, no one is denying that, but a quite fitting one if you've been where i have.

people are just soo desensitsed to everything....we play first person shooters, kill people in games, see it on the news, movies, everything, soo no one cares anymore. It such bullshit. Then you get kids going :"Ohh yeah, im a man, i gonna go in the middle east kill some people, its going to be awsome." Then they get there and shit their pants because it is just soo real....people exploading, buddies dying. I just turn of the TV, read only the wheels/comics section of the news paper, and watch ski movies. I know alot of people are going to say that is ignorant, but its just rotting our minds man. I like to form my own opinion, i don't need the media to tell me what to think.
 
I have never met anyone that says they wanted to go into Iraq and it's going to be awesome. I mean I'm sure there's a few whackos, but you are blowing that matter WAY out of proportion. We're not even that desensitized to killing. Death has always been a part of life. Saying no one cares is so wrong it's not even funny.

You need a basis to form your opinion on. Watching the news is such a good thing. You don't have to believe or take everything so literally that they say, but at least you get a general conception. You're rotting your own brain by not caring. Watch the news, just don't watch it blindly.
