Last year Freeskier was rockin, now its 40 % adds, and its all pow shots on the covers and shit. its hardley about Newschool anymore.

I stick with Powder for the big mountain, and Axis for the newschool. If i'm desperate, Freeze is alright, but it probably has the lowest intelligence quota of any ski porn available.

Freeze is soooooo pathetic. Spelling errors and it's pathetically written. SBC SKier is good, but it's mostly big-mountain orientated.

Axis magazine has serious potential, but it's real short. But everyone should support it. It has the best photographs and the best writing.

Freeze is goofy but very chill....

Freeskier is geting worst and worst.. last issue being the worst..(photoissue) and the article about 'dumb skiers' getting killed was totally disrespectful. Skier is deecent but boring. ANd powder always delivers but never surprises me with free things :):):)

Skier, Freeze, and the occasional Powder issue are all that I read, unless I can afford to spend $10 on 2(Europe's freeskiing mag). Best magazine you can buy.

For those of you who don't already know, Powder is going through a complete overhaul for next year. Think Surfer's Journal, but for skiing. DOPE!

Freeskier isn't that bad, I mean it's better than nothing. We need to support ALL the mags that contibute to giving us newschool action, even if it is minimal. Do what you can to progress the sport my nuccas. Besides, who can resist the dreamy article on DC? Liam, when is your profile hittin the racks.... Liam is so hot these days.......

Freeze is fucking retarded, and the people at freeze are cheap bastards. They ship the magazine as a catalog so they save on postage. A savings that is not passed down to the consumer. Freeskier is way more profeshional, bigger better pictures, articles that make sense. Not just inane ramblings. And about them doing the piece on those fucking idiots who died on the slopes, fuck em'! they were stupid enough to do what they did and now that their dead it frees up a spot in the parking lot for me. Powder is for free heelin' trustafarians. Axis, is basicly little Matt Leventhals attempt to live up to his brother. Freeskier is a damn good magazine. And they have never had a lot of 'newschool' shots on the cover, hell just untill last season or so they didn't even have action shots on the cover. Also freeskier supports more photographers than freeze, which is a very cool thing. And about the ad's, ever look into a snowboard magazine? You'll find mostly ads. If you want a magazine without ad's start one yourself. Untill then just shut the fuck up, and get over it.

freeskier, as many of you probably don't know, is a completely independent magazine with no ties to a large corporation. freeze is connected to transworld media meaning it's owned by snowboarders. The same goes with SBC Skier, the SBC stands for Snowboard Canada. Axis is Powder's bitch and Powder is published by the same company that publishes useless shit like Country Living.

you're all huge fans of rider owned ski companies but why not rider owned magazines? everyone want's to support the core companies out there but all i hear is hate for freeskier and support for the corporations.

If you are refering to the powder shot from the photo annual, just so you know - he really was skiing powder, the shot was taken from a chair above his head.. and it was so sick out that day they were choking on powder. SBC Skier is one of the best magazine, if there are any ads they are always skiing pictures, adding that it is also Canadian, I have no problem with Freeskier, their last issue was one of the best ive seen for a while.

Freeskier is rad. They have a quality mag with great print quality in comparison to others. Freeze is cool except for Brad's section. It's not even funny. When McConkey was guest editor and pretty much told that religious Dad to fuck off... that was their shining moment. Anyone remember that letter?

Whoever said freeskier was a cheap magasine and doesnt give back to the consumer in its savings.... Free DVD, posters, stickers... 5 bucks. DOnt even try to hate on freeze. ITs funny and is fun to flip threw and not sit and read for 3 hours straight on boring articles about things too seriouse for something as fun as skiing.

i've got subscriptions to Powder and Skier. Axis is too short, Freeze = Liftie + Gear Girl + not much more, freeskier isn't too bad, but not great...

Meh, Freeze has the best photos, but the articles suck ass. Still waiting for the 'amazing rad sick free beanie with subscription'. Its the only ski mag I could find, and I got tired of going to buy it so I subscribed.
