What the hell firefox?

I used it this morning no problem, turn my laptop off to take it to school, power up the laptop and suddenly firefox it completely reset. All of my bookmarks (including reference material for upcoming essays), quick links, settings, all reset/deleted.

Any way to restore firefox? I just tried a system restore and nothing changed :(
 
usually when firefox eats shit it'll realize and ask for it to be restored or something right? that sucks that restoring didn't even work, sorry to hear it man.
 
under your run command type firefox.exe -p this will bring up the profile menu and it is possible that it just reset to your default profile and all of your stuff is still saved

So this is a known problem then? Other people get this shit too?
 
it only has happened to me on one of the school lab computers where they have a program called deepfreeze that resets everything everytime the computer is turned off. kind of sucks...

bummer for you though. sorry i dont know how to help...
 
thats happened to me before, I was pissed as I have a ton of bookmarks that are all perfectly organized. basically I looked under my programs and I looked for my user profile and they weren't there either. I never got them back. now i just export a bookmarks file every month so in the event of a crash I'm okay. good luck.
