I would have to disagree with you... I can solidly say that I do not like that graphic. It's just not a good tag, or it's just too small. Either way, I can't read it, make heads or tails of what it is...

it's alright. could be better, could be worse. it's kinda hard to read but i'm sure if it were a little bigger and bolder it would be sweet. thats all i got to say for now. :)

Those tags were drawn by Lokash (grafitti writer from LA).. I shrank them to fit... I think they're pretty damn sweet. The blue NS is definitelly staying there, not sure about the red writing yet.

the ns logo is sweet but the type has to go, it's to hard to read at that size and shouldnt be there unless you can define it better. also the top header bg is different then the nav bg.

 
It's supposed to be a different color.. maybe I should make it a bit more different so that it doesn't look like a mistake.

Overall its sweet i like it but 2 things like prins said id change that completley different or put it the same which would look too. ANd id get a better graffiti thing or tag whatever its called, ive seen the other ones and they are pretty sweet that one is just to hard to read i think. its all cool though

 
Well, DKR, here is my honest fucking opinion as a graphic designer... It may be a sick fuckin tag on paper, but at 1600x1200 on a 21 inch CRT you can't read it. If you have any problem with any of my posts, drop me an instant message, e-mail, ns message, whatever. And I may hate the cover of 'In the Haze', so what. I don't buy ski movies based upon the cover art. Nor do I buy cd's based upon it either, this new picture doesn't at all change the way I use NS or the frequency, I simply stated my honest opinion so fuck off.

And as far as me being 'Into the Scene'...

just because I didn't like the new tag logo makes me less 'into the scene'? That's utterly obsurd. I work in resort marketing, I ski every day, I help ski mountains with their terrain parks, websites, events, etc. I don't do it to be 'in the scene' I do it because I like to, it's things like that where people label things that pisses me off. Who gives a flying fuck if someone is connected into the scene. As long as you're doing what you want and having fun with it, why should someone put a label on it. You know what man, do things for yourself once in a while, not just to become part of something that you percieve as inside 'in the scene'.

The backround of the tag and of the pages don't match, same with the front page... You should be able to photoshop the images so that they work.

Personally I don't like the tag up top. I'm loving the blue NS, but I don't like the red. IMHO, Tags don't really work that well as website graphics b/c nobody can read what it says. The login page graphics are sex-tacular though. :-)

Listen Jeff, I said it is either a good tag or simply too small for the site. Something in 72 dpi compared to PAPER is a very large difference. In this case, you cannot make heads or tails of the red type; you have to be dyslexic to make it out. The one on the login page looks great, that's because it's large enough to make out. As far as sticking up for your boy, if he can't take honest criticism about his work then that is something he is going to have to deal with.

i think its nice.. i like change.. it woulda been cool if the whol website with like that brown on the login page.. Did you pay this guy to have the logo's made? if not, keep them , i think its sweet.. if you cant read it, bug deal.. you know it says newschoolers.com

i ahte to argue about teh colors, but its just colors, so it wouldnt matter if it looked like DA. the color scheme should go through the whole site, not justa frontpage unless a random splash.
