Heres the deal. sorry if this is long.....

Transfered to a new school last january and met some kids to shred with. the local hill is about 80 miles away and so last year we would all jump in each others cars and go up for the day. fast forward to last week. invited friend A for opening weekend and to stay at my gf's cabin for the weekend and while shredding he was wearing a pair of gloves that i thought i had lost or loaned out last year without getting back. i asked him where he got them and he made up some bullshit story about getting them for christmas. today we were in a conversation about how a kid on the same trip with us hadnt paid for gas and he was trippin about it and out came the fact that the gloves i saw him wearing on opening weekend were actually mine and that he had kept them because one time last year i didnt offer to pay for gas on the 80 mile trip to the local hill with some other homies when he drove. i was shocked that he would actually keep and use a piece of someone elses gear that had far more value ($70) then the amount of gas owed (came out to $6 after I just did the math). I am one of those kids who always ends up driving because im always willing to go wherever and do anything so i know what its like to get seriously shorted on gas and because of that i wouldnt go out of my way to fuck someone else over. he said that not paying for gas that one time last year was a sign of disrespect and i deserved what i got. i told him that i would never intentionally try to disrespect him and if he asked me for gas money or reminded me when we got home that i would surely pay him. what the fuck is the deal with kids thinking people are evil and the world is out to get them.

dude i feel ya, im always the one whos driving cuz im willing do do whatever, whenever. i hate when people nickel and dime. when they fucking glove you, thats a whole different story
 
SPARK NOTES: kid kept and used my gloves from last year because i forgot to pay him $6 in gas one time. saying i deserved it.
 
i was of the school of though that it will all come out in the end and that if i pay one time, my buddy will pay the next. that on top of the fact that he didnt ask me for money in the first place, i wasnt trying to screw him over at all.
 
i exactly understand. i generally go by either, i know you and everything will even out in the end (aka trust) or i dont trust you, and wont do shit for you in the first place. in general, i think friendship is a contract where you just are always in debt to eachother, if that makes sense at all. i always feel so uncomfortable asking a friend for cash for something, i generally make the assumption that because were friends theyll prolly make it up to me in the future. /rant
 
yeah i just dont know why people treat their 'friends' like that. i wouldnt want to kick it with someone like that
 
i personally hate having to remind people to pay their part for the gas but taking your gloves was pretty retarded
 
You "disrespected" him by accidentally forgetting to pay him $6? If he needed that $6 that bad he should have just asked. And then he stole your gloves? This kid sounds like a huge douche, don't ski with him anymore. That is of course, after you steal your gloves back.
 
6 bucks? thats a cheeseburger and some fries.... your friend needs to pull that stick out of his ass and grow up.

yeah the funny part is this kind has money, hes just stingy as fuck. it wasnt like i had done this to him multiple times either, i had simply forgot to give him 6 dollars 1 time. and yeah i finally got them back, but it was after a lecture on how the only way to live life is to count each nickel and dime and people are inherently bad etc. i calculated out the gas money and paid him 6 bucks to make him happy, though when he found out all i owed him was 6 bucks i think he was a little disappointed.
 
just go make out with him and you will forget about it in not time, mainly because you will wonder why the fuck you just made out with a guy...
