ok anyone ever get this in their sleep?

every like 2 weeks or so, ill have a dream then wake up. when i wake up, i cant move anything. soon i can start feeling my fingers and i wiggle them until i can move my wrist, then arms. then i have to use my arms to lift my legs and then i can move again. if i fall back asleep, it happens again. but if i walk into my hallway and get up, i go back to sleep nice and easy.

also, in my sleep i get these weird throbbing sensations in the back of my head. they dont hurt, they just feel like burning and throbbing or something. shits so weird. i cant stop it or move, i just hope for it to go away and it does. then i can do that wiggle fingers thing to regain movement. i feel fine and never wake up with a headache or something. it usually lasts about 10 seconds.

no lies, anyone know whats happening to me?

doctor visit. thats some weird neurological shit right there. or just mental and you need to see a psycologist.

The feeling of paralysis is normal in some people if you happen to wake up in your sleep. A lot of people that get this also have visual hallucinations. A friend of mine sees little people running around his room and dancing on his stuff lol but idk about the throbbing shit

shit son, I thought I was the only one who experienced that kind of shit, cept it happens to me as im falling asleep and it feels like im choking on my tongue. It only happens when I'm super stressed or something is bothering me tho... sketch

something like that happens to me where i freeze up and have trouble breathing-- just have to remeber you're asleep and try to wake up. It usually happens only if i wake up and decide to fall back asleep. Often i'll dream that i'm in the exact possition i'm in, so that i can see the room as is, but when i try to move or look around i can't.

yes it's fucked up, my guess is that you are between sleep and wake cycles. When you dream your body becomes paralized (for the most part) so that the commands your brain makes while you're dreaming arn't translated into actual movements.

Its called sleep paralysis. Everyone gets it, its no big deal. Some come out of it faster than others, but hey. When you go into REM sleep you lose retention in your muscles, and when you come out of sleep, your body takes a little while to get shit moving again. No big fucking deal. And no, its not Neurological shit like the dumbass in first post said. just chill.

i get something similar. I dream i can't move then think ive woken up and a still can't move, then really wake up, and am scared shitless.

sometimes before i fall asleep and im lying there....

i like forget to breathe. its so scary like ill catch myself but im like OMFG what if i forget to breathe when im sleeping?????!?!??!?!?

Yeah I get that too except it feels like someone is strangling me. Like I feel lots of pressure around my neck and my muscles completely lock up and then I can't move my neck. Takes about 20 seconds to go away and after that I can collect my thoughts.

You are waking up before you have time to to come out of REM. You loose your motor functions during REM and since you wake before it, it takes a few seconds to come out of it.... thats why if you walk around and then go back to bed, it kinda 'resets' your cycle and you sleep normally....

But with the throbbing, go to a doctors about that

forgetting to breath is called sleep apnea you "wake up" but not all the the way to perfectly alert consciousness. it disrupts your sleeping though and can make you sleepy during the day.

everyone saying this is normal needs to go see someone. waking up and not being and not being able to move is not normal. combined with the throbbing head thing. yea, go see someone!

u are posessed by the devil...

just kidding go see an sleeping expert or something who might now some answers...

i've had the first thing happen to me, i usually sleep very well but on the night it happened, i was having trouble falling asleep and it was kind of a light sleep, so i dunno if that has anything to do with it

it happens sometimes. basically what you gotta do is in your head say to yourself "move my right arm" and move it. if it doesnt work then go like "move my left pinky" and work your way up
