Seriously does anyone know what is going on with their team. So far Wilson went to Salomon, Bibby and Parker are on K2, Skogen is on Volkl, I remember hearing that Ashley and Dash switched teams as well. The only person I haven't heard of being dumped is Pollard but I assume with all those other people getting dropped so did he. Did they just drop the whole team? I assume whatever is going on is thanks to Trak Inc. who bought out Line last year. Fuckers. So does anyone actually know what is going on.

Check the K2 Bibby and Parker are both now on their factory team. The Skogen thing was in skipress and if you look at any shots of Wilson from last season he's on Salomons.

^Them making good skis is what I'm worried about. If they dump their whole team it might mean Trak is trying to take the company in a new direction. Like away from making good skis.

we went over this a week or two ago, Line had to make cutbacks due to the binding set back. its all good cause pollard and ash are still rolling on Lines. so its sucks for those who moved on but this is buisness. just don't lose heart Line is still core and bringing the hottest skis to the market. can you say elizabeth!

 
Making those bindings was a bad fucking idea. They put so much money into the R&D and the bindings still suck. I think they lost a ton of money on that gamble and now thier team is paying for it.

Listen Skogen is old, so who cares about him. No offense but michelle parker is pretty bad. Bibby doesnt win anything. And Pollard and Ash are the shit thats why they kept them.

You don't have to win competitions to be good at skiing. Unless I'm mistaken, Pollard does a rare few competitions and just kills his runs smoothly and he is still one of the sickest dudes alive. Video parts are all you need, not someone who does cork unnatural 1260 triple mute safety blunt grabs to win comps.

Yeah, it was really bad for a core ski company to take a huge risk in an effort to make something progressive for our sport. They should have just stuck with the same old formula like everyone else.

So the bindings weren't an immediate success. After a few years they may be the new standard. The only thing that pisses me off is how outdated their site is.

whoever said michelle is bad is a moron. michelle is actually better than a lot of the other girls that are "pro." that and she's one of the best all around skiers as opposed to the other girls.

ashley, becker, and pollard are the only ones left on line...

They sure as hell won't be a new standard until they lighten those fuckers up. The heaviest bindings ever. Right now the only thing Line has set a standard in with their bindings is an inability to bring their bindings to market on time as promised and a new standard in weight.

It's too bad 'cause they make good skis.

Yeah I didn't mean that I don't think companies shouldn't take risks to develope new products. I just think they should have done a much better job of it. There is a reason that nearly ever binding heel piece (excluding Look/Rossi of course) is the same, because they work. They could have made a twisting heel piece without all of the gimicky crap in that cumbersome baseplate. Also they could have make a baseplate that wasn't so damn tall, look at snowboard bindings. I think the idea with the inserts is the best inovation in skiing since shape skis. I'm all for new stuff I just think if you're going to do it don't half ass it.

As far as Michelle sucking you are dead wrong who ever said that. Michelle is a ripper and she could probably skis your ass into the ground. She is one of like 3 girls in the world on a pro freeski team. She's aweosme so shut the fuck up.

That's why I said a few years, obviously right now they aren't perfect. Who knows, maybe they won't catch on, but at least Line tried, and that should be encouraged.

About making the same heelpiece because it works...thin skis worked, straight edges worked, but now we have fatter skis with sidecuts. Just because it works doesn't mean it can't be improved.

people saying the binding shouldn't have been made because its breaking the team apart are pretty retarded. think about it from their point of view. they have this insanely good idea to prevent injuries and bring the quickl mount from snowboarding to skiing. in retrospect everybody is complaining. its good line is actually taking huge jumps to progress equiptment. the binding isn't as good as its gonna be, but im pretty content with mine.

CV: NO, our sport is way to inaccessible. You cant just go skiing, you need snow, mountains, expensive skis, boots, poles, goggles, clothes and then a car to even get to the mountain and finally pay way too much for a pass. Skating, all you need is a skateboard that is why we will never be “as cool.�

telestar, do you even know how the line bindings work? have you ever even held a pair in your hands? did you do research on the binding? do you know how it was designed? i bet no, so stop running your mouth.

and as for my opinion on the binding i think it was a great idea, and my pair held up great with no troubles mechanically. i sold them though because they were too heavy for me. the weight is killer.
