What the fuck is a bio

I seriously do not get this trick. The opposite of a cork? but you can dub it? AH! I can't find a good definition

yes, excuse me if I sound dull, but:

A cork is spun kind of like a misty, shoulder thrown forward, and you're off axis.

A bio, is thrown like a rodeo and you lay it out leaning back?

See I don't know.

you set a bio like you set a rodeo, but you just spin more and flip less. Picture setting a rodeo, you drop your shoulder completely into a flip. To do a bio you do the exact same set except on let you shoulders drop slightly and set more upright, you also let you shoulders come slighty forward to get more onto the forward axis. So basically a bio is an unflippy rodeo and it is on the exact opposite axis as a cork.

here are some examples

Bio:

Rodeo: at :23, the rodeo 12 he does boarders bio, that one is very spinny

Notice how the sets are very similar the rodeo is just more flippy

i'd basically say it's a "spinny" rodeo with a rotation past 720. someone snobbier would give you a more technical definition but quite frankly, any rodeo or bio past 720 is gonna be so similar it doesnt matter.

cork: off axis spin with head facing towards lip of the jump

bio: off axis spin with head facing knuckle

best way i can describe and think about it

sorry, but im loling at people describing a bio as "close to a rodeo" put it this way...bio is to misty as cork is to rodeo...go to the original bio-master cr johnson himself...@ 0:52 of this vid, then go back to i think ready fire aim, his split part with vinny D he does a bio 12 a little less flippy than this one

just because I'm asking to try to understand a trick doesn't mean i'm stupid.

how about you go ask your mother why the abortion failed you swine smelling trail of afterbirth.

Here's how you tell:

I wanted to know what a bio was. All the videos I see they all seem to look different. So I asked the vast knowledge of newschoolers.

you and that chode oneplusone are complete dicks because I want to know what a trick is. also, it's a crime to talk like a smart person, evidently.

just hop off, you aren't even part of this.

Now If that means i'm stupid, ok

or a troll, ok

Why do you assume it's the mother's fault? It could have been an unknown mom who got the swirl from his 2 dads.

there's a kid at my school who uses insults like this all the time. nobody takes it seriously and it just makes him look like a giant loser who clearly sucks at team sports.

When you cork, you spin off axis with your feet ahead of your head as you're traveling forward. Bio is opposite; head first.

The comparison above of "Cork is to Rodeo as Bio is to Misty" is a good one.

It doesn't matter how you set a trick. It matters how you rotate once you leave the lip. I've seen people try to do rodeos and end up doing bio many times, but just because it's thrown like a rodeo doesn't mean it is one... important to remember.

I know that when I throw a bio on a diving board I throw 180 and then set for rodeo which makes my head lead the spin and spin 180 then throw misty for cork. So if you were to do it from just straight bio would be thrown forward, mistyish and a cork backwards rodeoish. Here is another good video of a bio.

Its funny how angry u get... Did u read the noob guide.. It says do get angry. You r a shitty noob

Usually your posts are cool and all, but really? Why so homophobic, I hope you can accept someone with two dads.

Also bio is a forward cork, or off axis rotation not really inverted. Like done by Simon at 1:20:

Also a very sick segment and song.

forward cork, simple enough. Everyone's doing bio 7s when they grab mute, but a lot of people want to call bios rodeos because they are thrown similarly off the takeoff.

HaHa I think, but homophobic does not apply in relation to my comment. I'm a big fan of thinking before I post, or in some cases choosing not to post at all... and I love my 2 dads equally.

Alright, I will try and help you as best i can. A cork is thrown back and over your shoulder. A Bio is thrown forward and under your shoulder. If you can do misty 7's on a tramp, then try and just do a misty where you go less inverted than a normal misty. Keep doing this until you feel you have a bio. Personally when i do a bio i pop up and around instead of the usual misty 7 down and around.

I know this is kinda hard to understand and do, but when you do one properly, you'll be like "da fuq did i just do?"

hope this helps, if not, well, i tried.

ok, whatever, i don't really care anymore. clearly you hate me because i talk funny and I don't ask good questions. just keep it to yourself. I really am tired of the abuse.

im not a pussy. I'm just tired of getting verbally abused. that's why I like when people actually respond nicely

Dead on. Cork and rodeo are backwards movements while bio and misty are both forward tilted. I don't care if you jump forwards (and eventually dip backwards) on a rodeo... its still a backwards flip movement.

A bio is a non inverted misty. A cork is backwards and a bio is set forward. For a bio imagine your standing with a table in front of you and you do like a shoulder roll over it and land switch. That would be a bio 5.

I read this somewhere which helped....for cork after the first 180 you are facing the ground, for a bio after the first 180 you are facing up to the sky.

Agreed. Lol at kids thinking you set it like a rodeo. If you spin left, Bio is set by dropping your right shoulder forward. Rodeo is set by throwing your left shoulder back.

u set a misty then instead of flipping start spinning really fast or just start spinning and lean forward as the rotations go on

Opposite of cork would be likeIf this is cork '\

then this is opposite \,

but bio is more like /'

where / or \ is body and , or ' is head
