APO stands for Alpha Phi Omega, the National Service FraternityIt's also the name of a ski company, now sponsoring Sammy Carlson
 
Army Post Office. While it isn't ran only by the Army anymore, the acronym APO still is in use today for sending mail to overseas service members.

actually believe it or not the owner is Chinese and it's an inside joke between him and the investors in the company, he wanted to called the company apple but when he said apple it sounded like appo so all of his American business partners (who were good friends with him) started calling the skis Apo, and it kinda stuck and thats how Apo came to be
