someone's gotta hug the trees or else all the money crazy logging fucks would run rampant. we've already done enough damage in the past 200 years as it is; I can't even imagine what it would be like without people defending the environment. I don't know how some skiers, who spend their whole lives in the mountains, who have such passion for the outdoors, can be so anti-environmental. it has nothing to do with being a hippie, it's about being a responsible citizen and steward

I think the whole hippie movement back then was inspired by an appreciation of the native American lifestyle. Hence the long hair.
