What the fuck are those ski bikes

My hometown mountain now even has lessons for them, in my opinion they look like ski blades but worse, anyone have fun on them?

Depends on what type of ski bike you're talking about? The janky, yellow, stupid ones your basically seated on the whole time and you have to wear actual snowblades on your feet, OR the super dope coil shock and 180mm fork mega-sender ones with platform pedals and skis on the front and back instead of wheels?!

Seems to me like yellow ones are for Texans. But Ive ridden a legit skibike (Lenzsport) on the slopes once and it was straight up so fucking fun. Exactly like riding your enduro bike, but with a super slarvy back wheel.

I’ve never heard or seen those, they sound sick, these ones are fully rigid and I’ve seen people use them with mini ski blades or without

That second picture was actually taken at my home resort. They do a skibike festival every year w/ dual slalom races and shit.

I was hoping to rent one of the legit ones the weekend after next at Winter Park, anyone have any experiences or stories riding them? I mountain bike during the summer, will that even help at all?

It's alot like riding your mountain bike, you should be able to adapt super quickly. Plus you can manual one of these things for DAYS!

Never seen these ones before, look fun af. How do you take them up a lift? Do the lock in sort of like the handicap ski sleds or do you just hold them?

At my resort you just hold them, w/ the handlebars acropss your lap and the frame dangling between your legs. They only let 2 skibikes on per 6pack lift.

Saw some tourists riding down keystone on those last week. Insane they let them out on the crowded slopes when they have zero control. Make it a point to spray them all when I see them

A bunch of people I know from mountain biking ride them and say they're super fun. I'm a super avid mountain biker but in my opinion, when the snow starts coming down, it's time to switch over to skiing and not try to elongate the bike season. Some people find them fun I guess.

I mean that's basically what rentals does, but they equip them with skis (or more often snowboards) and send them down the slopes to crash into others.

I've seen these a handful of times. Probably fun to try.

these are relatively popular where I live. see one almost every day. sometimes they come through the park and do barspins off the ends of flat boxes. looks kinda fun but also super fruity.

I'm more impressed by the guys on massive (~170cm) snowskates hitting 40ft jumps
