yeah, it wasnt anything with the mounting, both skis are the same exact length, and the bindings are in the same exact place. and yes my sidewalls are messed up, i ski my skis pretty hard. it certainly doesnt affect my skiing at all, but yeah, ill check the barcodes
see armada tries this sweet way of making skis- its called shitty manufacturing. They are good skis and look really sweet, but the damn things fall apart.
i didnt read the above, but that year armada had a problem with there center line, free skis my brother, look real close at your recomended line and measure from your tail and they will not be the same. they did that to a few pair's so it looks like you get a new pair if this is the case.
3 years now, sweet. you must have the first ar5's. now get a job so you can buy some new skis, so that i don't have to hear about your ancient ar5's that, congratulations, are extremely durable.
sweet- they are sick skis, im just bitter because my '06 176's have like a huge ass chunk out of the topsheeet on the tail, that i got the first day i rode them.
it looks like you pushed out the sidewalls by somehow crushing the core. its happened to my friend on publics but his sidewalls just blew out. i didnt think anything could put that much stress on a ski till i saw it happen
its really no big deal, they make that curve by blending a 30 degree angled router cut and a 90 degree cut. the cut just didnt quite blend in the same spot on yours.
thats mainly a cosmetic defect... it looks like when they were trimming the topsheet and putting the finishing touches on the skis they went too far witht he saw/router on one ski or not far enough on the other, shouldnt be a big deal really because you still have ample sidewall... now if they fucked it so bad that core was exposed after the trim then you would be in trouble, but the way I see it is they should be fine, especially if they feel fine
id believe that was the case, but the whole "binding plate" is set back 3 inches or so on my right ski, not just the front, the back is offset as well, the parts where the sidewalls are at 90 degrees are the same length on both skis, the right one is 3 inches back
maybe u just didnt notice it but one of the skis are backwards?? because the sidecut is different behind and infront of underfoot...maye im wrong but check it
well you didn't say that it was messed up on both tip and tail... or maybe you did, anywho, find some other AR5s and compare them and decide if its worth calling armada on the issue
