I have known about NS for years but decided to make a new account this month and damn, this place is goofy. First off whats with the guidelines they are just a thread, not even a unique webpage, just a thread. They are so inexplicit and enforced selectively. I had a admin link me it and then not take down the comment above it that was a clear violation of the first bullet point. Second, who tf are the admins, if I was NS I would be a little more responsible, these people have no problem calling you a "fag" and saying "kys" but will take down anything their friends don't like. There are so many little things, I had a owner of a ski company dm me and his name is in green not orange/red. Third, you can't make any jokes or criticize anyone, if you make one contrarian point you immediately get 10 down votes, in fact this post alone will probably get 10 down votes just for calling out valid points. Sure I made a couple mistakes on my short time on the site and I respond too much but the policing on this site is garbage. Also I don't think age is a good point to make in most arguments but it is hilarious to me that these people in there mid twenty's who most likely have a bs job and massive student loans and think they have life figured out get pride from defending people when a sixteen year old makes a joke. I really could not care less but before you down vote this ask yourself "Have I ever seen this happen?". It's not that I care about the down votes its more to prove a point. I don't care about my karma or my ratings, at my school there is only one other who likes freestyle so I joined to talk about skiing and if you cant take a joke online I don't even want to know what you're like in real life. I'm not really salty about this either I just find it funny how stuck up the site is. If I get kicked, o well, not a big loss for anyone. I just thought this site was about going against the grain, "Skiing the wrong way" as Line would put it. It's apparent that people on here have become like the group they have advocated against. You know, people who go to Vail and Aspen, racers, stuck up rich people, basically and super selective and stuck up club. Like I said I really don't care how you judge me or my posts I just find it funny that people get so messed up about stupid shit that wont matter tomorrow.
