Are jumps 1 and 2 both classified as kickers???( oh and on jump one the "slope" isnt susposed to be flat, so dont pay attention to that)

refer to crappy MS Paint drawing :D

1= step over 2=step down. im prety sure that is common terminology, at least what ive heard from joss etc.

i think any jump can be called a "kicker". the first one looks more like a step up/over sort of jump while the second is more cheese wedge-like

I posted this like a minute ago and i already have 5 replies, yay!!

and thanks for the help, btw is it normal to have a harder time keeping control on a kicky jump as aposed to a floaty jump?

yes, it is. It sounds kind of weird but popping off the lip as hard as you can will help you keep control no matter what type of jump it is.

really? around where i live most of the hills use them.

and anyone else with advice on the keeping control on lippy jump thing?

its true i like popy jumps (with a nice steep landing) because i find it easyer to spin or keep control in the air

1-- true table (trannies basically match height)

2--step down (take off tranny is much higher than landing tranny)

Precisely.

Gotta get technical with these kids kevin. Only way they'll learn...haha.

Am I gonna see you at Boulder on Sunday!? Better be a yes!
