What splice lens is this?

I just got the splice goggle with a white frame, saw the last JOSS update and thought the blacked out lens that Dumont is rocking would look sick but wasn't sure if it was the "black iridium" lens or something more exclusive. Help? massive thanks.

so what does the black iridium lens look like in comparison? can people see your face through it pretty easily, or is it just a shinier version of the grey polarized lens? I've only been able to find product photos of it, which aren't very helpful.
 
Buying lenses based on what they look like (rather than light conditions you experience where you ski) has to be the one of the stupidest things ever. Almost as stupid as wearing cotton t-shirts that stick out from under your jacket and get soaked and look like a dress.

My goggles came with a night/whiteout lens, so I'm looking for the best bright-light lens. It's about to be summertime and I live on Mt. Hood, so, clearly, I'm going to need something that will block sun rather than amplify it. What Simon is wearing seems capable of blocking out a lot of light (they're solid black....), and it would look dope with the frame I have. Stupid me.

 
yeah if you're skiing during the summer you're going to want either fire iridium, black iridium, or grey polarized. Grey is the best for keeping out light (i believe) then fire is the second then black. hope this helps.
 
yo bryan, the black ird looks kind of brownish when its not on, but you can't see your eyes through it and it just looks chromey. Its pretty dark

The Gray Polarized is the murked out one, and the darkest oakley makes
 
Not to knock this guy, I don' t think he's really doing that. But I think it's funny when I see gapers with really dark lenses at night, they probably can't see well. Especially here in NJ, you would hardly ever need fire, black, or grey polarized lenses.
 
This seriously pisses me off you're buying lenses for not what they are for but because they look cool...You buy lenses for certain conditions not to look cool..
 
The polarized in more of a matte finish, but it is much darker. The iridium is mirrored, shiny, and a little bit lighter.
