What skis?

Im 170 cm tall, about 60 kg and I ski mostly park. Im looking for softer and bit wider skis compared to my old coreupt lunatics. I ordered 178 line chronics because I got good offer for them but I can still cancel it if I possibly find better ski for me. Price should be max 400$. Suggestions?

yeah, but you're only 5'5 (170 cm). these will be waaaay too big for you. they will be too much to handle.

Going to a longer ski will staright way make the ski feel stiffer as it will be harder to get over the extra length. Couple that with a ski which is already stiffer then your current skis prob mean that the shorter length would have been a better option for you in the chronic. I think that is what people were trying to point out to you.

Also what would help is this. Your age, height, weight, where you ski, how long you have skied, what skis you have tried that you like, what you did not like about the lunatic ect

Well answer the questions I posted above and maybe we can find something you may like. Your best bet is wait and demo some through that way you are certain you will like what you buy as you will have tried them.

I had chance to order skis for next season for cheaper price few months ago so I picked those :D I should get them in few months unless I cancel.

How much cheaper? If it was a supper goo deal like pro deal prices then fair enough as you can just sell them and make your money back if you don't like them. If you give the info above we may be able to help exactly which skis would suit you though.

Sorry I was on phone and didnt see those. Im 17, 170cm, 60kg, skied for 5+ years, mostly park, I liked k2 silencers, they broke after like 2½ years, bought 169 k2 sights. Also liked them, also broke them. They were bit too stiff too. Got 175 coreupt lunatics for 100 euros, pretty much just because they were so cheap, skied them most of last season, found them way too stiff and narrow to me. Lenght was good but I dont mind a little longer.

Well if you liked the silencers chances are you like softer flexing skis. Those skis were pretty basic, they were cap so torsionally pretty soft. Also at your height I would look a little shorter. Maybe try something like the line travelling circus. That cap and really soft. I'm a fair bit bigger then you and I found them silly soft but I found silencers way to soft too, so you may well like them. The TC will be wider then your skis which are 83mm I think which is pretty narrow really. Try the TC instead I think you would like them much better then the cronic. If you do go chronic I would go smaller. I would ride te chronic in 178 and I'm 5'11 so I think they will be a but much for you especially if you want them just for the park.

I havent found silencers anywhere. TC was 1 option but i chose chronics over them because they seemed to be lighter. I thought about the lenght alot. I liked the 175 and people said line skis are shorter than they say and feel shorter because of the early rise. Other option to 178 was 171 which is shorter than my old ones. Also I will still grow a bit :D

Weight is not a huge issue really also if you want them lighter get the smaller size. You don't weigh much so you don't need the longer length for stability. If I was you I would go shorter and see if you can get the TC. Your going to be riding skis bigger then I do and I'm about 5in bigger then you about 20kg heavier and have an extra 20 years ski experience then you. Smaller skis will have less swing weight and will be way easier to throw around. A 171 will still be just above your head so I would think pretty good. And with regards to growing more if you do by that time chances are you will be ready for new skis any way so don't worry too much about that. If I was you I really would wait to demo some if only to work out exactly what size you want.

Feels stupid buying shorter skis I rode last winter. And I dont think there any demos here. I want to buy pair and ski them till they break.

Just because you had skis a certain size one season does not mean you can't change. I used to ride thalls in 181 this season I came down to 176 on a salomon ski. The ski is what determines the size. Just because your old ones were 175 does not mean a 171 won't work.

Blends would prob be a bit wide if your just skiing park an nothing else. What about afterbangs. The new ones are ok super soft still. I skied the 171 last season and it did not feel super small to me so you should be good on those. They should be cheap too

Yeah I tried the Veronica from previous years and they are much stiffer then TC or afterbangs. Much stiffer then silencers. If you want medium stiff maybe look at the future spin they are still really stiff but you can ski them harder then the TC or afterbang. For you I think the chronic at 92mm and in 178 would be a lot of ski especially if you prefer softer skis

Silencers are soft and you said you liked that ski that why I figured you woul be better off with softer. But I'm sure you will like what ever ski you en up with. Break um in and any ski will soften. Good luck with your ski choice.

I dont remember what silencers were like. I just remember that when they broke I wanted to get new pair of that same ski but they didnt sell it anymore. Sights were closest to silencers I could find. And I want softer ski. Thats why Im worried about the chronics.
