Hey, i'm going to buy some new skis for the next season. I hate my afterbangs because their'e so heavy... I like light, snappy and butterish skis.Iv'e looked at the Thall and it looks real good, it has everything i wan't with it, except that it might be a little to long and it's pretty expensive.So, is the Thall skis good? are they lightweight? And is there any other skis similar to the Thall (light, butterish and snappy?) that i can buy?

my friend has T Halls and likes them a lot. Can't really help aside from that. I used rossignol s4s this season and i really enjoyed them. rossignol skis are underrated.
 
i am big fan of the volkl wall's. they are a little on the stiff side though, so you probably wont like them. you should check out the atomic punx
 
Someone really needs to come out with a flex chart for all of the park skis on the market this year, just a linear scale with relative stiffness compared to other skis.

Punx are soft, Anthems or Afterbangs?
 
I would get the Thall it is very playfull and snappy and stiff so you can still ski and not just butter everytime you want to turn.
 
I skied the Alpha 1 for a season and i must say it left a lot to be desired. The Thall and AR7 are softer. Because of the elf shoe shape of the alpha it makes it ski a ton shorter than it is (basically my 181s skied like 160 somethings) which made it really easy to butter on but unstable on larger jumps.

The punx is a rockin ski. super buttery and soft, but retains some pop.

I also just got some Diams from RMU and they are the shit... but it sounds like you've already got your mind pretty much made up.
 
Yeah, I pretty much got my mind made up, i'm gonna buy the T-hall's I think. But I don't know if i'm gonna stick with the Afterbang's for one more season, or buy the T-hall's for the upcoming season. I don't like my Afterbangs much, they are heavy and... heavy... But I got them just one season ago, and I don't know if i'm gonna stick with some skis I don't like much, or just save up for some skis that is good, and that i will be satisfied with. I don't really know, T-hall's are expensive, but sick skis, and I will probably learn tricks much faster. But yeah, what would you do, stick with some skis that you don't like = save money, or get the T-hall's = good skis....
Theres one more thing though, if I wait till next season, and then buy the last years T-hall's, they will be cheeeap. But I don't know where I can get last years skis.

The liberty LTE. They are superlight, and looks good. But are they butterish? Has anyone tried them, or heard anything about them? If they are butterish, I don't know if i'm gonna get the LTE of T-hall's.
 
I've heard that libertys dont have the strongest cores... but thats hear-say I dont have any experience.

I duno man, Id say if your only complaint is weight then stick with them. It'll make you appreciate a lighter ski even more. I mean, weight usually means a ski is built pretty solid. so at least you have that.

hell man, look for something used even or previous year cuz the Thall isnt gona change from 2010 to 2011. And the AR7 is honestly so similar to the Thall you could save a few bucks and get the AR7 and prob be just as happy. The only difference is that the THall is a *touch* softer with a slightly faster base. I duno if youre interested or not but the store I work at has AR7 demos w Z12 rental bindings on them for $513 in 161 166 and 176 lenghts, w $50 off and free shipping right now.

Wich is the lightest and most butterish og the Halo and T-hall? Any1 who have tried them?
