What skis to get for this season- atomic or solomon

My dad is the rep for atomic but sinse they bought solomon we can get all solomon skis for the same price as we get atomics. Im a girl 5' 4" 120 lbs whose been skiing on twin tips for six years. Im thinking about the triplets but i dont know if a solomon model would be better. Any suggestions?

 
get some 1080 Gun S-Labs if you can get them cheaper than everywhere else

Hmmm, im not really into the solomon or atomic skis becuase they make mostly racing skis, but get the female version of the 1080's (if there is).

 
Ironicly, neither company has yet created a womens specific freestyle ski. Granted, they aren't that different, but all the same they are loosing that part of the market. I suppose the foil, but Atomic and Salomon are my least favorite companies, so your asking the wrong guy.

Get some foils in 171, they're nice and light, and so far they look good.

5'4 and 120lbs on a 171? thats a little bit big. the 161 thurster might not be a bad call. personally, i loved my 1080s till i beat the crap out of them sliding rails and landing on pavement.

umm....maybe a 163 Sugar Daddy? or the stomp?

I've never like the way salomons ski, but some do, so you could always look into the foil.

Best bet, though, is to demo.

if you've been on twins for six years you should know that salomon and atomic are both shit. my advice is to sell whatever free skis you get and buy some k2s nukka!

depends how hard you ride. atomic has been traditionaly stiffer then salomon and more durable from what i know and what i've seen but idk about the new salomons haven't demoed them yet so i can't really talk about them or the new atomics for that matter and if i agree with seanpistol 6 years you should know what you want.

I love my tweaks but they're a stiff ski.

Salomons might be better for you just becuase they're not as stiff. If it weren't for that, I'd say pickup the Stomps, sick ski.

i skied tweaks last season and i loved them..so i was thinking about going for the deviants. they are the same as the tweaks just different graphics

 
if you getting skis, go fatter. Stomps over Tweaks (or whatever the new ones are)

the 163 triplets or urban triplets are both sick skis however as you mentioned the deviants are the same as the current Tweak just a different mounting platform to allow for center mounting, so they're a super good ski too. no even being bias since now there's no point since Atomic and Salomont are somewhat the same company now but I've never been a fan of the performance or durability of Salomon, just a personal opinion

06/07 Atomic will have a womens specific twin tip, called the She Devil

First off i wouldnt ski anything called the shedevil, bad Karma, haha. Second i would take a few suggestions from people on here but deffiently make the final decision yourself. Salomon and Atomic have both been making skis for a long time which means they both will make a good skiing ski. Thirdly, since your Pops is a rep i would ask him very politly to get a few demo skis for you to try out. She what ones are the best for you, or if any of them are pink....... but i would say try the 160-170 size range out. Good Luck!

 
Here is what you do.

1. Get S-lab Guns.

2. Sell them on Ebay.

3. Buy Real Skis (that will fit you) from non-crappy companies.

i'm a girl and ski atomic. you mentioned that you also want to ski "big mountain" i suggest you get the stomp: twin tip, a little wider and nice soft flex.

if you're serious about big mountain skiing though you might consider the sugar daddy (i ski the 183s for the deep, 173s for steeper, technical terrain).

 
I saw a girl hitting rails at tremblant this weekend on Triplet HP's and she looked awesome.

Either that or I'd highly recommend what I'm riding now...04-05 1080's. Go with the thrusters..great ski, and since your dad is a rep...they'll be nice and cheap.
