What skis to bring to CO (summit co, with an epic pass)??? Help quick

I'm going to Colorado from the 14-29 and already have an epic pass, I have Donner Party's, Anthems, and Bacons. I dunno what skis to bring though cause I can only bring 2 pairs. I wanna ride as much pow as I can, and then I'll have my girlfriend with me sometimes so I'll be fucking around on groomers and random shit like that, probably a little park, but not ton (not more than 25%). I think I'll be skiing mostly at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Keystone or Breck. Basically I want to be wherever the steeps/trees/pow are.

I dunno what skis to bring though, any input would be greatly appreciated. And if anyone lives out there and wants to hang out and ski lemme know.
 
Donner Party and Bacons. I've been using my Donners lately out here more than I thought I would, they're super fun. And the Bacons can still be used for your park days.
 
i just took a peek at the donner party's on moment's site, and im a bit disappointed that they avoided a "eats up people...i mean uh, powder" type of joke.
 
I would go with the two exremes, anthems and donners. Because even though I am sure bacon's are great in pow, there is no way they are good as the donners.
 
I'm hoping your gf lives there or something because going to summit CO to ski less than 25% park is a horrible idea.
 
My mom moved there in August and I have a free epic pass (moms' work is giving it to me) and I can stay at really nice places for next to nothing, free snomobiling and a ton of other shit. So I'm going there because I'm a poor college student, it's sick, and it's pretty much free. My girlfriend doesn't live there, we both live in WA.

C'mon Evan, I know there is at least enough terrain at the mtn's my epic pass covers to keep me satisfied for like 10 days of skiing.

As for fail? Nah, summit county sucks for everything but park.
 
that's a pretty ignorant statement. how would you describe the entire east coast if you think summit country sucks minus the park ? haha i mean seriously

I am thinking Anthems and DP's. I wish I knew exactly how the DP's ride, haven't gotten a chance to ski them yet.

I really like the Anthems for carving switch on groomers, and Dec in CO with gf = switch groomers and random jibs on easy runs for at least a little bit of my vacation.
 
true, but he also said Vail and Beaver Creek which are right down the road from Summit, and they both are great places for hitting pow.
 
you need to get out of summit county if you think its good place to ski pow. its not a bad place, but if you're looking for only 25% park time, it certainly isn't optimal.
ski vail for pow and breckenstone for park
 
I guess I just considered Summit as including all of the resorts I can use my epic pass at, I just suck at geography apparently. Anyway, to make it clear:

I'll be skiing at: Breck, Keystone, A-Basin, Vail, and Beaver Creek.

What one will be best for pow?

I'm assuming it will be Vail, and/or Beaver Creek and/or A-basin. In any case I'm still not sure what to bring.. Any combo would be sick though haha.
 
Vail, Beav, and A-Basin are all decent if it snows. You won't get much for challenging steeps anywhere around here, if that's what you're looking for. I'd just go wherever gets the most snow, if I were you.

As for skis, take whichever are the most playful. Fairly soft and more sidecut would probably be the most fun.
 
Like someone said, i ski in utah and montana before that. Vail was the only place i skied like an actual mountain like run, but ive only skied vail copper keystone and winter park. I've heard abay has some ok stuff, but CO is high elevation and flat. East coast is mainly just hills, CO is at least mountains. I'd like someone to show me the good skiing in summit though, i'd like to ski it. FYI im not including steamboat, crested butte, etc, just summit county area.
 
steamboat is still pretty damn flat. i fucking love it there, but they lack steeps as well. but you cant beat the trees there.
 
Agreed with eheath, bring your park skis. If it snows try to drive to Crested Butte, because SC will suck outside of the park about.
 
lol, yah go to CB and ruin your skis. CB got their once in a decade storm last year. Everywhere is pretty mediocre right now, it's only December, probably the worst month to take a ski vacation.
 
I think I'll do Bacons and Anthems. I'll wait for more snow at Baker before I use my DP's. That way they don't get fucked up by a bare spot or something.
 
i wouldnt bring the DPS unless its been dumping... even when we do get a ton of snow its skis different than PNW snow (im from stevens), and bacons should be fiiine.
 
if it dumps while your here i would go hit a-basin it they have palavichini open some of the dopest cliffs near summit and good "steep" (compared to breck and keystone) terrain
