What skis are you most nostalgic of?

I have seen a lot of ski nostalgia online in the last few years, most notably the fixation with the k2 hellbent due to its legendary status. However, throughout the years, I believe that many skis have captured the attention and admiration of skiers.

Mine is the 2012-2014 line Mr pollard's Opus, designed and illustrated by Eric Pollard. The ski came out when I was new to skiing as a kid, and was used in many of my favorite ski videos back in the day. (like the LINE Traveling Circus 5.5 The Last Skiurai - Season 5 Finale)

At the end of the day, consumerism and brand recognition are intertwined with the ski industry today, and this obsession with specific skis can last in the psyches of the community for a long time.

So I'm asking here, what skis are you most fond and nostalgic of?

HG skis.

While getting into park skiing around 2014/2015, they could be to be seen across the state of Vermont. A local shop I supported (shoutout First Stop Ski Shop) carried them as well (which not many shops carried HG at all). Soon in 2015 I met Dan and learned of Arsenic and his friends (many rode HGs). At rail jams I competed in in my youth across Vermont, many of the most fun and stylish skiers to watch had HG skis under them. I watched all the cuts they made and admired the brand a ton, especially given they were a small independent company based out of Vermont where I call home while being focused on heavy hitting and unique street skiing incorporating the groups friendship. When ETG dropped it felt like the peak of ski content for me, no other film has engaged me the same way. I was devastated to learn shortly after they would cease production for good. I will always be the most nostalgic of HG as they in many ways shaped who I am as a skier today. (Sorry for the rant lol)

tldr: HG skis was the fucking coolest and shaped me greatly

Ive gotta go with the CRJ series from 4frnt 2010-2014. they're the perfect backcountry weapon and to me the coolest designs of all time. I'm in the process of trying to acquire all models just because they're so damn awesome.

K2 Iron Maiden’s.

Really wanted to get my hands on a pair but couldn’t find any at a shop nearby while growing up. Seeing Seany J, Clayton, and Shea rip on that ski in the old K2 Summer School vids really made me want to get them and just go absolutely large.

2011 Nordica Ace of spades was one of the first park skis I really remember as a kid thought their designs were so sick

volkl chopstick 2011 and volkl wall 2016/17 the last gen wall was the first park ski i'd ever seen and thought the blue and yellow base was epic

Moment Wildcat with the Saturn V rocket. The Apollo mission was the first program my grandfather worked on when he started with NASA. He’s no longer with us so I’d love to have it for nostalgic sake.

Armada T-Hall fs! So legendary

13-15 4frnt switchblades. Got me into park skiing, few buddies had them. I especially love the 20̷15 green tree graphic, one of my favourite skis of alltime. i had a '13, a '15, and a '16 switchblade.

First generation Line Darkside (gray) and second generation Line Ostness Dragon (red).

The first generation Dragon and 1260 (orange) were all time too.

Rosi Pow Air (black with the flame text)

oh yeah, huge nostalgia points on this one

I’m ancient so OG Salomon 1080’s. They were a thing of beauty and felt like a revolution at the time. Also got a bit of a soft spot for rossignol pow airs - as I hired these when I couldn’t get my hands on 1080s in courchevel, they also had an advert that felt like it was just some French dude shouting pow air!

Got a pair of these screwed to the walls of the detached garage at my parents house along with a few other skis that I was the last user of

Hellbent and EP Pros.

I still ride my EP Pros all the time.

I own a pair of new-ish 2013 Opus. Great ski as well. I feel like the Outlines are a great successor.

09 Line Invader, lots of people at my local ski hill had them, never had a pair. Found a pair of 2010 Line Anthem a few years ago, those were pretty cool, skied them for a whole season

Armadas from the start until about 2010. They had such unique graphics for the time and every ski looked different. My favorite are probably the mad steez ar5s

ON3Ps from before the green bases. The rainbow and Buddha Blue Steeles especially.

last are Line SFBs from the start til about 2015. The striped bases and the blue tree models were the best.

I have a pair of 2013 opus's too! They are on their third mount, mounted for 1.5cm + from center but they still ski great. I'm in cahoots to pick up a pair of 2014 opus in great condition soon ...

Line Supernatural 108- Luckily I scored another pair after they were discontinued but I’m afraid to ski them hard because I know they’re never coming back.

Rossi Sickle/OG 4frnt Devastator- The days of heavy flat camber chargers are long gone. Might have to grab the Heritage Lab FR110’s for nostalgia purposes.

Skied a lot of line skis over the years and these were horrendous for durability and yet were some of the most fun skis I've been on. The big brother, the step up was also a massively underrated ski that got killed off too soon. Perhaps a tad too stiff I loved them

Posting again because this thread is bringing back memories…

K2 from like a decade ago had the sickest skis with the most unique damp but playful feel. Shredditor 102, 112, Pettitor and Hellbent all absolute classics. I had 102’s and Pettitors and nothing else I’ve been on has felt as quiet at speed while still being stupid playful.

After many years of searching I also scored a brand new set of 108s for myself.

The 100 was a ski that opened my eyes

Spot on. The shredditor 102 was and still is my favorite ski. Have the reckoner 102 now and it's not quite the same. Would be interested in a ski with the shape of the shredditor and the weight of the reckoner.

Nice. I’ve got a pair of the red ones from 14-15, which did you pick up?

You definitely want a Heritage Lab FR110. I have owned the og devastator and the fr110 does all the original devastator did but better. It’s a super fun ski to turn the whole mountain into a skatepark. They float much easier than the dev ever did.

back on track of nostalgic skis: I miss the K2 Seth Pistol circa 2002

In my head i conect these skis with:

K2 Iron Maiden = stept crew jumps from a 3 story building stuff. Shea flynn bites into a fence

salomon suspect = everyday is a saturday good ol times.

Mom can i have a magic suit… no :(

armada thall or ar7 s = dollo bdog beginnin of b&e some armada Arvs also good call. Armada team shoot.

K2 Hellbents = charly ager cant land forward. Switch pow landing god . pep switch pow carves, idea mt hood part

I had (well, still have) 2 pairs of CRJs. The 2010 and the 2013 (when they stiffened up the tail). Loved them in the powder, but hated them everywhere else. I miss CRJ. Not so much his skis. I've never caught edges as randomly or as hard as on the 2013s.

Personally, I miss the volkl karma
