What skis are you most nostalgic of?

I had (well, still have) 2 pairs of CRJs. The 2010 and the 2013 (when they stiffened up the tail). Loved them in the powder, but hated them everywhere else. I miss CRJ. Not so much his skis. I've never caught edges as randomly or as hard as on the 2013s.

Personally, I miss the volkl karma

I’ll also shout out some old Volkl’s. The Volkl Bridge was a flat camber, progressive mount, 98mm ski. I think it had Titanal as well. Basically a twin tip M3 Mantra, it was insanely fun.

The Karma basically became the Bridge. The bridge did not have metal, but was definitely fun

Any 2010 to 2015 K2 pro model. Thought they were the coolest skis ever, still keeping my eye out for them on buynsell, especially hellbents

It’s been like 10-11 years since I had my pair so I don’t remember exactly but I guess they didn’t. Still crazy fun, one of my favorite mogul skis ever.

What I’m most nostalgic about in this thread is the sheer variety of skis that we used to have available. Every brand had a unique feel and was constantly rotating in new models… a lot of which were downright weird and definitely wouldn’t get made today. Looking at you Afterbang…

I’m like 90% positive the Soul 7 killed the mainstream ski industry, I have no evidence to back this up other than feelings and vibes.

Rossi absolutely played a huge role in homogenizing skis

2005 K2 Seth Pistol.

At the time they were considered a pow ski at 95 underfoot. I used them in the park and was told they were too wide to be a park ski. Times have obviously changed though I think they would still be a great park ski today.

My dad has two pairs of those and he shredded them until like 2013 when they were too beat. They have zero torsional rigidity so they wouldn't hold an edge even if they were sharp but they were fun as hell.

This might be just because I started to get into park skiing during this time, but I really loved the armada ARV series graphics for years 2019 and 2020. I also really liked the K2 marksman design in 2020 as well.

The Marksman was such a fun ski, I should have never sold mine.

catamarans never should have been discontinued, I literally only ever heard good things about them

Agreed. Best K2 pow ski since the Hellbent imo. Still have a pair.

2008 Line Invader followed closely by the 2014 Line Chronic, some of the funnest skis I've ever used for park and jibbing around the mountain.

My Invaders now live in my attic, retired after being signed by the Travelling Circus dudes when they came to the UK years back.
