im 5'10" and 140 pounds and i just started to get into skiing last year and i bought a pair of skis over the summer at a local shops tent sale. they were 169 scratches, the white and red ones, and i really need better skis this year bc im going to colorado for a week and i want decent skis that can handle powder and stuff. currently i do about 40% park and 60% piste but its usually ice bc my mountain sucks. i think i need bigger skis asweel so i would like to know what the best choice of skis/bindings would be for someone like me, and i have a $600 price limit which i think i can get something decent with. i want something that can handle smaller jumps (40ft max) and ice along with powder and some bumps. whats a good ski for me?

i would do ar5! but the might brake your limit by a little. if thats an issue go with k2. either public enemy or fugative, both skis are awesome and hold up well, they are just easier on the wallet.

if your skis are only half a season old they should still be in good condition. scine the skis you have are pretty good. and for only been ski a year and a half i dont think youll feel the width too much when you get in sum powder. so pretty much dont just get a new pair of skis cause ure going to co maybe demo a pair when you get there and see what you like.

i got ar5's i like them alot on the ice and stuff as long as your edges are in ok condition. they are wide enough for powder i think but ive never riddin in it wtih this ski.

its all preference though. and since its end of year sales you should be able to get it for around 500.

i agree, scratch bc sprayer, def not fujatives, i have a pair and they are not for you believe me

in my opinion you definatly don't need new skis. even if you get dumped on every day in CO. a powder ski is just gonna be overkill in PA. the scratch is fine ski for beginers and has lots of forgiving flex for those bad landings. i'd stick with what you got for this year and buy something nasty next season
