let's hear it. enough about what stuff you have, and what you can throw down...if you aren't having a blast, it doesnt matter.

skiing to me is an escape. it's a time out from the real world, sometimes with your friends, sometimes solo. it's about being in a different place, and loving every breathing moment of it. skiing to me is about pushing myself farther and harder, just to feel that adrenaline rush for one more second. it's about memories that will last forever, and fun times that will never end. skiing to me is about being places many people will never know. it's about having something to believe in, to love...and always to look forward to.

give it up, homeys...give it up for skiing :)

my family and my friends are probably so annoyed of me talking aobut how much im stoked for witner....its such a sweet feeling to be up on hte mountain or in the park...its a feeling you cant capture....ive been waiting for witner the second i stepped of hte life of my last day on snow at camp of champs and im still counting down...even though my home mountain sucks i still make the best of it...

haha yeah i know what you mean...i was out eating dinner with my parents and there was this long silence. out of nowhere i say, 'you know, i'd sell my soul for 10 ft of snow right now...no questions asked.' My dad slams his fork down, and yells (in a fairly quiet restaurant), 'I'M SO SICK OF HEARING ABOUT SNOW!!!! AND YOU NEED TO GO TO CHURCH MORE OFTEN!!' He meant it too, he made me go to the most ridiculous church service ever...

so i was hanging out with a couple of friends yesterday and only one of htem likes to ski and i was like I CANT WAIT UNTIL SKI SEASON....and everyone goes quiet and stares at me and i was like i HATE skiing

I just came home from skiing in NZ. its my third year skiing all year, and my parents sat me down are voiced their concern over me sking all year and not going back to school.

 
Well...this year I'm blowing off college and moving to my mountain for the winter...that made certain people in authority very unhappy--wait til I tell them I'm going to Hood for the summer...

the time has come to stop letting people place expectations and live the dream.

especially right now:

skiing to me is using poles, being as serious as possible, being close minded to those who try something different, and definitly not having fun

skiing to me is going up to the house with the whole family uncles cousins and all and just get to go skiing for 2 straight weeks with everyone getting high and drunk everyday....skiing to me is smoking on the gondola with my cousins friends then watching them throw down in the park while i do some shit of my own. skiing is a tradition.

and yes skiing dreams are nice...

^hahaha thats one of the best things I've read on NS in a while.

oh and skiing is an escape. even if it's just for one day, it makes you forget about every little thing that was bothering you before. then when I get home, I'm like whatever it's no big deal, nothing really matters to me in the winter, except for skiing. if my week sucks, I sit there like..it's ok..you're skiing this weeekend. it's like a drug

It's like a whole different life, it's like the ski world and the real world. I have different sets of friends and it's pretty much undescribable. Just a shitload of fun.

One thing that I love is first thing in the morning, first chair, perfect curdory and when I breath in it's a nice sharp cold feeling.

And then when it's dumping all night and I wake up in the morning super stoked, that's THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!!!

Big park sessions are pretty fun but nothing beats a pow day.

skiings totally about the thrill for me. Flying off a 40 foot booter, launching out of the pipe, skiing down the bumps, carving turns in the fresh pow pow, bombing down the mountain. I also like being up on the mountain away from the pressures of home, and just being outdoors is always a pleasure.

yes what dynastar said early. knowing that its abosultly dumping all night and then waking up to go is the best feeling that God created for us...it just can not be desribed....Im sad now...I want to go skiing

Skiing is the greatest thing ever. The way you feel when you go down the slopes or when u accomplish something in the park for your first time .. its an amazing rush. I couldnt live without skiing.. Ive only started 2 years ago but I cant live without it. I think about the next season everyday. Skiing is my way of life.

I ski because you can express yourself in so many ways. I love how you can go up there with worries about school and family and the second you get on a lift or start hiking you escape from all of it. Then its just you your friends and the mountain. I LOVE it

Skiing is the first thing i think about what i wake up and the last thing i tink about before bed. The reason for the madness is becuase when your skiing its all on you...if you mess up its no ones fault but your own...When you go huge, its your body, drive, and partial insanity bringing you there. I cant think of a better feeling than what I feel when Ive boosted as high as I'm goign to go, and am weightless for that small moment.
