I am looking for a new allmnt-pow ski, but i cant decide wich ski im gonna get. Once up in a time i had armada jj and k2 hellbent, i loved the jj and thougt the hellbent was ok (but i dont want to buy i again), and cant aford the jj ( ca 1000$). what about atomic bents and surface new life?

i have not had good experiences with Surface but from what i understand the New Life is pretty sick but if i were you i would look at the Liberty double Helix its a wider ski with just a bit of rocker made for charging super hard but if you are skiing tons of pow and want the rocker just go for the Hellbent. Its the most proven pow ski in the industry save nmayby the Pontoon but thats not what your looking for.

correction, a guy you've talked to has not had good experiences with surface. Something like he was sponsered by them and now says he wouldn't pay for any of their skis(based on what you've said in other threads)

advice

the surface new lifes are great if you like shredding the pow and back country like its the park. the symettry is great for this and with the early rise you can go anywhere with them. i'm not sure how they handle on hardpack though

The surface one lifes are also a shit ton of fun for powder/all mountain/and even in the park. They handle decently well on hardpack (for a pow ski) and you can just charge on them (i've found anyway)

Another good option for you might be the sir francis bacons

they usually mark those down quite a bit..... new SFB's last year were like $600

$600 is usually the standard for powder skis

on3p caylors would be an amazing choice if you are looking for a fatter all mountain ski(120 under foot)

Well if you really liked the JJs, you could always try to find a used pair on here so you could afford them.
