What ski is better for me?

Hey guys i was wondering what ski would fit me better. Im 5,8 130lbs i new to freestyle but want to progress. Two skis that im lookin for are the rossignol scratch fs wrs and the salomon foil.Is the rossi scratch fs wrs too stiff for me? The foils look like they would fit well with my body(lightweight person) But i need some real advice since i dont know a lot about freestyle ski etc. THanks

The foils are pretty damn thick, a kid on my team last year had them and he hates them, i would go with the rossi's

ok my real concern is if the rossi is too stiff for my weight and if it can ski all mountain

it seems like you have problems with both skis. Im the same height and weight as you, and this year i have the k2 disorderlys and the k2 fujatves. Both really nice skis that will handle very good in the park and well on the rest of the mtn. I would say look at some other skis. Check out the ar6, k2 has some nice skis as well or line invaders. There are a lot of skis out there for you, and just research and you can find a really nice one that suits you everywhere.

if your new to freestyle i wouldnt worry to much about it, id pick the fatter of the two though. wider platforms are good for learning especially rails

for you, out of those two i would say the scratchs...
but, i would highly recommend taking a look at ar6s

i skied all last season on my 06 07 foils and they were perfect for everything... they are a little stiff but still have flex(which is a good thing) but give u super pop on kickers. i hit a shit load of rails and boxes and my edges and bottoms held up and were super durable... these skis can even take on some freshies and get good flotation... the other plus is that the paint/ graphics dont chip or peal off like other skis because the foils have a clear lament layer over them... PICK UP SomE FOiLS NOW! not the Rossi s

id do the scratches over the foils, personally. rossi makes a stellar ski, sidewall construction for durability and edge hold, they are very lightweight, thanks to the wrs construction, have great pop, and really arent that stiff. im not a big fan of salomons cap construction and def not a fan of foam cored skis.

I've skied both and the Scratches are definitely superior to the Foils. Salomon stepped up their game this season going with wood cores, but their old construction, the way the Foils are made, just wasn't good. Sure it was lightweight, but beyond that the construction of the Scratches, wood core with WRS and rubber inserts in the tip and tail for dampening, is absolutely better. The Scratches also ski better all mountain and hold a better edge than the Foils on hardpack. Hope this helps.
