What Ski Brand Has Your Favorite Athletes?

The long-time brands like Atomic, Head, Rossignol, Scott, and Dynastar seem to have a pretty different athlete lineup than Faction, Armada, J skis, or Vishnu. Obviously these companies are newer and have a different target audience, maybe with the exception of K2, which is an old brand but still seem to have a competitive market share of the newschoolers and new wave.

My dad loves athletes like Chris Benchetler of Atomic, Owen Leeper of Icelantic, Sam Kuch of Head, and Sam Cohen of Scott. But it seems like most of these older brands don't have as prevalent of an athlete team with younger people as the new brands.

So which ski brand has your favorite team of athletes? I ride ARVs but mine is Faction. Daniel Hanka, Antti Ollila, Henry Sildaru, Bella Bacon, Alex Hall, Duncan Adams, Tim McChensney, Mac Forehand, Matej Svancer, and Jack Lovely are some of my favorite skiers in the sport and they all ride for Faction. I don't just like them because they get featured on SLVSH or win all the comps, but they are super cool creative people. Hanka is sick dude and people like him are why I like the Faction team the most.
 
All faction does is pick up trendy skiers. Armada picks and sticks. There’s a reason it’s called the AR family.

Candide was at faction for 10 years. Also a lot of Factions team has been with them for a while. Armada definitely picks and sticks but I wouldn't say that Faction strictly picks trendy skiers and then drops them.
 
K2 and Armada have historically had the best rosters of any brand ever, however these days most of my favorite riders aren’t on the same team, scattered across the board (minus armada). If HG was around they would be up there too, very easily.

Hasn’t a hall been around for a little bit? I also genuinely have a question, do you think a hall will ever leave faction like candide did?

That's fair, and I agree. Especially given the Johnny Collinson situation where they dropped him after he tore his ACL. Shows some sketchy brand values, but my question was just asking your favorite athlete team. I ride Armada because I love the brand and the product but like I said, Faction has my favorite athletes.
 
Totally feel you. TGR gets a ton of hate on NS, but their athletes are really cool guys. Tim Durtschi is one of my favorite pros to watch in movies because of his personality

They seem to value the riders in a way that most other brands don't, like more freedom to go their own way. But also less coverage while they're doing it.

i see what you mean the athletes are sick but i just dont wanna watch all there videos that just makes em look like a bunch of toddlers

Yeah I don’t think faction is out here dropping athletes, but armada has a specific kind of athlete that they’re willing to take, no matter how good they are. Faction imo is easily #2 with athlete selection (most of my favourite skiers happen to be on armada so big bias here)
 
Low key k2 might have the best team. Krazy Karl, ferdi, kai mahler, joona kangas, hugo burvall, colby stevenson are all among my very favorites to watch and then you mix in legends like joss, seany j, and clayton vila. Birk Irving and Maggie voisin round out the competition team and k2 looks as stacked as ever
 
I’m not gonna argue they have the best team ever but Head is being a bit slept on in this thread. Jesper, McEachran, Blunck, Granbom, Blake Marshall, Hedvig Wessel, Sam Kuch, Carl Regner, etc.Then you add their race team. They must have a huge athlete budget.
