What size twin tip skis to get?

I want to get into freestyle skiing, and I have been given totally opposite answers, about what size skis to get. I'm about 5'2 and 115lbs.

how good are at skiing in general and what skis are you looking at

This will be my fourth winter skiing. I would say I'm between intermediate and advanced, as I can do blue squares and most black diamonds. Like I said, I'm first getting into freestyle, so I have only gone straight on the jumps I've done. I'm also 15.

I was looking at the k2 press and sight skis in 149cm, but I'm not sure about size.

I was 5'2 last year as my first park season and got 148s. It was also my first year skiing. They felt great at first, but halfway into the season they I started to feel like i overpowered them a little bit. I progressed really fast so that might be why but I'm not really sure. I got 168s for next season as I'm not 5'6. Honestly, a 155ish or so ski might be a good length to go with.

sorry didn't see your post..

The sights are more all-mountain oriented i believe. I would go for those! The 149 is maybe a bit short for a guy like you, don't be afraid to buy a little longer ski with some rocker.

At 5"2 you should get 158

This is a good length. Anywhere from 154-160 is a good length. They may feel long at first but within a few days you'll adjust. Im going from a 148 to a 168

They might be a little long, but you'll "grow into them i think" Especially as you get older and taller

I honestly think they would be way to big, and they are EXPENSIVE! I don't think I want to go over $350 on just the skis themselves.

Thank you guys! I noticed in pics online that most twin tip skiers have skis that are about 1 to 2 inches above their eyes when by their side. I took out my brothers skis( they aren't twin tips) that are 157cm and they were a little above my eyes. So I will probably start looking for skis that are within the 154-158cm. Do you guys know of any good twin tips in this range?

Are the Sights available in 158? I had a great few seasons on mine in 172 or whatever I have. I use them mostly for dry slopes now but they're great 'beginner freestyle' skis for intermediate to advanced skiers.

The sights are available in 159cm which wouldn't really be any different from a ski in the 154-158cm range

Anywhere from eyebrow level to maybe half an inch taller than you would be fine. I'm 5'4" and I'm riding a 164 this season. You would probably be good with anything from 152 to 164
