Hello,

I am a 179cm. (5'11) tall. and 65kg. weight.

What the size of twin tips should i get?

I thinking to buy 165 Dynastar trouble. (It would be by my chin).

I never had a twin tips. Its the first my freestyle skis . So 165 do not too short for me?

I want to learn a 360, backflip, slide on pipe and the other park tricks.

(My race carver skis are 171)

Thanks, for the help.

im 5'9 and my freestyle coach says i should be around 170 soo ... you want them a little longer for balance.

i have raced 5 years and freestyled 1

Add 10cm to your race skis, and you have the length you should have on twin tips.

In other words go for 179-181 skis.

I just look at this video guide. And he says that the lenght must be, by the chin to the forehead. So in my opinion, the twin tips by my mouth is good for me. I do not have an expierence at freestyle skis, so with shorter skis i think is more easy to learning to do a tricks. What you think?

really its all personal preference, i know guys who ski on skis that are barely up to their shoulders, and mine are 5 0r 6 cm over my head

That's a really bad guide, that's pretty much how you choose regular skis.

As you already have a pair of regular skis that is 171, you want your twintip skis to be 10cm longer, because if you get a pair of twintip skis in 181cm, then it won't be any longer than your regular skis, as the extra 10cm is the tip in the tail of the skis. That extra tip does not have any contact with the snow and will not effect your skiing.

A pair of twintip skis in 181 would not be any longer than your regular carving skis that are 171.

im 6'0 and have been skiing on 164's. shorter skis are much more manuverable in tight sections, but longer skis will hold up better on some groomers, will also give you better balence. Its all preferance when it comes down to it. I'd say go with a length that is between your nose and the top of your head piece.

Basically, the one rule is to get approx your size. Smaller is no good, however taller of like 5cm in't a big deal.

those are much much too short for you. go ski something around 180-185 for a week and you won't ever want to go back. I ski 189's and sometimes wish they were a touch longer. although I am 6'3"

Jesus that's short. Don't you find any problems when it comes to handling at higher speeds? I understand they are incredibly convenient in trees, but if you're a strong enough skier, so are 180cm skis. That's just my opinion. I'm 6'3", and I wouldn't want anything shorter than 180, for anything.

ive never had skis that were above my forehead since i started when i was 10... granted, i am a midwest skier that doesnt really have any super high speed turns to make or huge booters to hit. I ordered 176 ARMADA halo's this year. stoked to ski em...

5-10 and i ski 178cm

All how what you ski and how well you ski. I do all mountain so I prefer a longer ski.

this, usually the responses will be much more accurate, also im 5'5" and i ski 170 alpha 2's, i wouldn't mind them being a tad shorter but for me they are super stable when cruising around. If you have the chance, go demo a park skis in 170 and 180 and see which one you like more?
