What size poles

I flip the pole grip down and grab under the basket, if my forearm is parallel to the floor (elbow makes right angle) they seem to work out for me

that's for a traditional pole length.

for op, do ^ or shorter.

Shorter poles are better in the park as they don't get in the way as much and are more nimble.

If you're skiing outside of the park, don't go too short as u can't pole plant as well. also try no poles as well to mix things up.

mine are super short like i let my arms hang down and they should be where my hands are. I need poles to balance it seems but I always stab myself so I just cut them ridiculously short.

I'm the same way, except for slower days. I've got some real short ones for pushing around the park

I never caught on to the whole short poles thing. I use fitted poles all over the mountain and in the park, never had a problem.

I also have some adjustable poles which are very nice for different conditions.

mine are 37 inches i think. they're short and great for the park but not rediculous and they can still actually serve a purpose outside of the park. im 5'9 for reference

I just bought a cheap pair, took off grip, cut the pole, then put the grip on and repeated until it seemed short enough for park but i could still get around.
