I want to learn 5's next year and I want to learn them off the mountain. I have a 10 ft really steep dropin so i think I would get a lot of speed for the jump. basically i was was wondering what is the best heigth and lenght for the jump. and also some tips on learning 5's as well would be great.

best advice try it at the mountain jumps and landings should be bigger and better

but if u dont want to u should be able to spin 5 fast enough on a 1 foot high jump with like a 5 foot gap

before u learn fives...can u 1 and 3 both ways and can u tweak them however u want. once u can do that everything will just come. you wont be thinking 5 anymore. youll be thinking rodeo 5 or misty 5 with a bow and arrow. i did that and now it seems as if i can do anything i want whenever i want. learning grabs with spins opens up a lot of doors. just put that in mind.

5's are ridiculously easy and don't really require much coaching/advice...not a whole lot to em and they can be done on the smallest of jumps.

try to learn things on a bigger scale, it will help you out a lot in the long run. (learning how to do a 5 on a tinyass jump wont help u get better at skiing)

You can hike, or lap all day. It's not too hard, you should get it after a few tries if you have 3s down.

I thought learning 3's was the hardest thing ever. Learning 5's was kind of hard too, but after that every new spin/trick didn't take a lot of tries. I learned 5's on a tiny little jump off the side of the slope. Any jump should work.

I'm confused here? You wan't to learn 5's on skis right? Isn't the mountain for skiing? Seems you would be better off just learning them on the mountain, like people say, they are dead easy if you can 3 with grabs comfortably.

I threw my first five on a 30 footer. I'd recommended not learning it off a roller or tiny jump, just so it isn't a complete huck, but instead a smooth controlled motion.

If it makes you feel any better I landed my first 540 and 720 first try. If you can sack up and do it, youll be fine.

just hit a massive jump and then if you acsidently over rotate, well then... you did a 7
