What should newb's not be allowed to do on newschoolers.com

hmm perhaps have a 3 strike policy with n00bs. If they make 3 really useless threads, then rules start to apply.
 
and i dont think "noobs" are the problem i think aliases are, there should be a strict one sn per ip and if you need more just ask a mod to set sumthing up
 
that's stupid, if they had to make 100 posts in order to make a thread then they'd just spam the shit out of ns until they have 100 posts..

then you would ironically be whinning your pathetic little ass off about how n00bs are taking over or spamming or some shit which would be all cause by your suggestion. even though noone would ever take your suggestion seriously.
 
in my short time on NS i've seen at least 2 or 3 first posts make amazing threads. its basically just alias' fucking things up and people that are not on NS for the wellbeing of skiing, just to have a little fun for themselves. We can't desifer those people. There really isn't a nice answer to this. is it worth hurting people who are coming to contribute a lot to NS to get rid of alias/dousche fuckers posts?
 
Not exacly, maybe you, but most flamers look for easy ways to whore up the site and piss people off at the same time. 100 posts let the mods see if the person is a flamer or a newb. If the person posts 100 post in less than an hours, we can clearly see that person is a flamer and result in a ban.

 
well then they would post as much as they can. they should make a guide at the beggining that tells u how to use everything and make it very clear that using the searchbar is ur best bet. just b4 they sign up they have a little run through that they have to watch or something....

as a newb myself i try not to be retarded and the few threads ive made were actually useful or original or pertained to something relevant at the time. i think for the most part people have a natural urge to contribute useful information and should be allowed to do so. i also think that when noobs make fools of themselves they should be flamed to all hell as usual- its part of becoming a NSer.

i think noobs shouldent be allowed to post in posts talking about how many posts noobs should post before they can create threads so this post does not exist

Do you realize that most of you talking about noobs are still noobs...but you have to remember that getting new members is our future here. I mean yea sometimes they'll make stupid threads but they learn the ways of ns soon enough and just become another contributing member.
 
I have quite honestly seen some pretty dumb shit from members with 1000+ posts, too. Here's the thing, just because they have under 100 posts doesn't mean they're obnoxious twelve year olds, maybe they don't come here often or found out about the site later on. And to be honest, all the dumb threads provide some decent entertainment sometimes, NS has been slow recently.
 
punishing kids for not being online-addicted losers as much yet as most of NS? sounds a bit counterintuitive...

anyone who uses the word noob should seriously reconsider their values
