What should I pay for these used skis?

This guy I kinda know is selling his 09' 4FRNT EHP's with the deadbolt 18 bindings. What should i offer him price wise?
 
I don't have any pics but I have seen them in person, top sheet is great, edges are fine and the base has a couple little core shots but there in the center.

 
i mean really there's quite a large gap because i don't know the exact quality of the skis, but 4-500 seems reasonable to me.
 
Dude I'm the same age as you so I understand where you're coming from, parents wont give you the cash for you ski hardware and you don't have much cash, do what I do go direct to the manufacturer (make sure it's a small company, eg. 4FRNT) and ask them if they have any skis with cosmetic defects or are unsold models from past year and they will give you an awesome deal, around the 50% off mark
 
I know that ... I was just trying to make a suggesting so he wouldn't have to buy ski with core shots in to try and save cash
 
try small binding companies to (eg. 4FRNT), he could probably go direct and say he needed a cheap setup and was prepared to take on old/cosmetic defaulted/ex-demo etc. they could throw in both at a good price, I've never dealt with 4FRNT but from what I hear they're decent guys and since they're a small company I don't think they'd mind

Just out of concern for you, how heavy are you? If you are like most kids your age on this website, the 18 will be a bad bad bad choice. Just sayin...
 
Haha alright, some kids on ns would say thats a bad idea but according to onenerdykid (who works for atomic) it's just fine, so you're good.

Just wanted to make sure ;)
