Went from windows movie maker to Sony Vegas Pro (found a free patch online) like a year ago but I have barely used it because shit is confusing and tedious. I wanna know what other people use to edit skiing with besides final cut pro since I have a windows. preferably something free

new adobe premiere is nice and straight forward, classic timeline editing and it accepts virtually all file formats

Go with the highest version of Adobe Premiere Pro you can torrent and youre good to go.

I just put in effects manually by cutting out tiny letters for titles and such and gluing them to the lens. I also only film my edit in complete chronological order so I don't need to worry about shortening or rearranging clips.

yeah but text tho

yeah but speed ramps tho

yeah but bragging rights yo

you can add text and speed ramps in premiere. Simply navigating the timeline on premiere is gonna save you a bunch of time compared to after effects.

Sony Vegas pro is all amazing once you learn how to use it to its full potential. It took me about a year to get editing down with it but now it's all I use. I say stick with that.
