What resorts are by West virgina university?

What mountians are by west virgina university and how far are they? Im probly going to be going there next year.
 
Wisp is about a half hour away. Good scene with some cool local riders. Boring mountain tho, Timberline and Canaan may be close to you also.

snow shoe 2.5 hours away. Wisp... isn't a mountain, its a large pile of shit. and 7springs which is the coolest place in the world with super cool friendly people is an hour and a half.

wisp is by no means just a large pile of shit, place is legit yo. Just as big as springs, cheaper, with more snow.

the park scene is real legit as well, i grew up there and love the place... don't be talking shit about stuff you don't know anything about man
 
i love 7springs. nothing beats waiting an hour in line for the sixpack chair to get to the top of the mountain all the while listening to 80's music being blasted from the foggy goggle, not to mention pittsburgh whit trash trying to act all snobby thinking that they are at some big mountain and sghould be treated speacial. yeah seven springs is great.

my suggestion is wisp i like it there it was always pretty chill.
 
don't ever ever claim there is a park scene at all at wisp. It is set up like a skatepark. Where the park crew was above the park with a crane dropped the features and where the landed is where they stayed. ZERO flow, impossible to actually do a run hitting more than one feature and not more snow that 7springs. Springs on the other hand has 3 terrain parks, one with a park pass so I don't have to deal with fucking noobs the the ass who claimed wisp has a park scene
 
and if you know anything about springs you would avoid the 6pack chairlift at all costs and ski the northface on weekends so there is no crowd and go during the week since its open till 10:30pm

 
I've been riding both my entire life, when neither really had parks. Wisp has a good scene. I think u are confusing scene with set up. The builders there aren't that great but the local riders are chill and always fun to ride with. Ive noticed that the new breed of kids at spings are generally to cocky to even approach anymore. Back in the day riding with the local kids like Jon and Brendan, It was all about progression and a good time. It doesn't seem that anymore but tthen again im not really putting forth an effort to meet people. The mountains are about the same IMO, both with very short runs. for the drive from WVU, you can't beat Wisp.

PS to Inferno, If i knew anything, i would know to ride Giant steps lift all day and avoid the north face lift at all costs, not just the six pack
 
i just got my leter of exceptance yesterday but idk if im going to go there or go to the university of utah. How far is wisp from the school?
 
i know i love utah i go there every spring break and ski the week at Park city and a day at alta. But I gota choose skiing or my girlfriend. Id still be with her if I went there but she would want to kill me. But i figure i beter set her straight now and show her that skiing will be a huge part of my life for the rest of my life so im prolly gona go there.
 
are you gooing to marry the girl? Probably not fuck you go to Utah. I had the same choice, Utah for skiing or WVU to play baseball. I said WVU so I can play d1 baseball. It didn't work out and now I am stuck skiing in PA and Maryland
 
yea i probly am going to marry her iv been with her for 3 years and iv already told her i would. But im going to prolly go to utah and she can just deal with it.
