Sup. I was skiing today and while on the lift a question popped into my head "what is the definition of a freestyle skier" I asked my friend and he said I don't know. So I decided to bring it to you guys. What exactly makes a freestyle skier?

somebody who skis the way they want and with puts their own style into their tricks

1. do tricks with their personal style

2. has a certain style

3. has a style that is "freeing," or very unique and creative

A human being wearing wooden sticks on his/her feet while trying to kill him-/herself doing crazy stunts.

Freeskiing: A skier whose not bound by strict rules by their ski club and chooses when and what to ski.

I'm pretty sure it's penciled out quad quad skiers with pine needle for reference on landings... big difference between a freeskier and a freestyle skier, know your role kids

Freestyle is taking technique to the extreme. Think moguls and ballet skiing. Freeriding is riding terrain you wanna ride and how you wanna ride; no rules, no responsibility.

Having taught freestyle skiing this year for the first time.. I would say it's anyone who considers how they use the hill with a specific, creative goal and enjoyment.
