What rail?

I know thre are a bunch of summer set up threads, but im welding a steel rail and i need some input.

I have room for 16ish feet of rail but the longest section I have is 12 feet long, I want it to be pretty easy to trick and not end on a down because that would suck to spin out of.

here is a shitty pic of what my drop in looks like (lip is like 30-35 inches off the ground) and i was thinking like a really mellow down flat with like a 15 degree angle change?

+K for good input thanks guys

Flat Up

You have enough time to do a sw up and you could easily spin a 450 out if the rail is high enough.

12 flat kinda seems short for the space i have , and there is no way i will have enoug speed for a flat up

Making the flat a little down is a great way to help with speed. I'd go with a mellow down to mellow 4 ft up at the end. Just make sure the transition from down to up is gentle so it doesn't kill your speed.

try to weld together to make a 16 flat because it would totally be worth it in the end. Or make a really gradual flat down that you could spin off of.

yeah build a jib is everything you will ever want to know. just wait till you become a member and youll be all good

ever think of a mellow U rail? kind of like the down up idea, exept there wouldn't be a definate transition between down and up to kill speed.

If anyone's in doubt about how to build their own summer setup, I can try to help:

I know it's a swedish descritption, but if you look at the pictures, it

gives you an idea of how to build the drop in.

If you want to know how to built a rail/box visit these links:

Hope it helped! :)
