What price should I sell my gear for?

Hey, so my friend is a snowboarder, that is just getting into the sport. I tried snowboarding a few years back as i thought it would be fun to be able to do both. However the plan was to go with my uncle who also wanted to learn how to snowboard, but he never has the time since he is an emt, firefighter, and 911 dispatcher. So I figured since my friend is just learning, and doesn't have any gear, and i never use my snowboard I'd sell it to him. He has gone only twice, but is really good at snowboarding, a natural, linking turns and such already. I figure if I ever do go with my uncle it will be so far and few times in between i can just rent. I mean we've gone only once and its been 3 years. So my friend is starting to buy gear and is getting more serious about it. He is buying outerwar and accessories, and hates spending 30 bucks each time to rent, on top of a ticket it gets expensive. So I offered to sell him mine, but don't know how much to charge him. i don't want to rip him off since he is a good friend, but don't want to just give it away, since it is almost brand new.

The board is the almost all white Scotty Whitelake D.I.Y from the 05/06 season, and has only been used twice, and has only seen groomers, since I was just learning. So no scratches, no core shots, no delaming, no chipping, etc. Still has a nice factory tune and wax. I know it cost me $340, when I bought it, I bought it at retail price, it also comes with drake 5ifty bindings which are also brand new and have only been used 2 times, and go for $130 new. I would sell him my boots too, but they are not the right size. Any way so I am selling him my brand new condition wise, 2 times used set up of a Libtech DIY scotty whitlake board and drake 5ifty bindings which costed me $470 new. What should I ask him for the board itself and for the board and bindings together?

bump, thanks for the help so far guys. Are these prices for the board and bindings or just the board? Anyone else?

free , well if your not gunna use it might as well put it to good use, and seeing as he is a good friend its shouldnt matter

Depending on

1. how well-off you are

2. how well-off he is

3. how good of friends you are

The price should be free-$300

I like helping my one friend out, and I throw the stuff I got last year to him, and it works out good because my old gear is getting even more use.

He's pretty well of drives an 06 audi A4, I drive a 98 ford Taurus and need money for school.

We're pretty good friends. I've only known him for about 4-4.5 months. But I'm his frat brother. We pledged together. So even though its been a short time, we've spent a lot of it together.

i'd say $275-300. You need the money, and im sure that he can afford that, i mean after all, that's him renting 10 times. It pays for itself.

couldnt have said it better myself. id say try to get $300. sounds like you spent a shitload more than that on everything. ridden twice and it being a few years old, that seems like a fair deal.
