Its now Western Samoa. they just moved from east of the international date line to west o it so now they see new years first instead of last

if you look at all the countries at +12 they bring in the new year first.

doesn't matter how big the distance between samoa and new zealand, they're in the same time zone therefore they bring in the new year at the same time
