it's cool to try flips because then you get over the fear. everything is simpler - you'll have more confidence.
Unless you are throwing huge ass stylie 3's over 60 foot booters, then don't worry about flips. just take it one step at a time. Get comfortable to jumps, then try mixing it up with
switch/unnatural/grabs/ stuff like that.
If you really want, go chuck a lincoln or backflip into powder.
