hey i live in ohio and im plannin on goin west for my spring break march 9-17. which mt would you all recomend. im thinkin a smaller lesser known resort might be cheaper. i ski 50 50 park all mountain here in ohio but will prolly want to ski more all moutain out there because i have never skied powder like is out there. give me some advice

I'm trying to decide between Jackson and Fernie for my spring break. Make the trip worth it and go to somewhere huge and fun. I know you can stay at the Super 8 in Jackson for $54 a night, which isn't a bad deal at all in any ski town.

went to jh two years ago it was so sick they hadnt gotten snow since christmas when i went out and the second day i was there it started snowing and didnt stop for the next week and a half. while your out there check out grand targee. its a small local mountain about an hour away that is high up so it gets great snow and if i remember correctly ticket prices arent that bad.

also the slc area is sick. 45 minutes out there are deer valley, park city, and the canyons all within 5 minutes of each other, then by cottonwood canyon theres alta/snowbird and brighton/solitude. its more expensive up by pc, but you could prolly find a mariot or something in the city for cheap if your willing to drive a bit in the morning

go to mt bachelor for a few days then go down the street to mt baker

best spring break of my life last year and i go to sick mountains every spring break and those were the best

Breckenridge. hands down. conditions are still super sick, park is amazing all the time....great town. Def. come to breck

ill be in breck ill be in breck...........but i live in colorado and have a five mountain pass so is it still cool

but still ill be there

i know of an awesome cabin in j-hole, that has a beautiful view of the tetons. it sleeps 8-10 comfortably and is 150 a night for the entire place, because apparently winter is the off-season. I think this sounds like an awesome week of skiing and chillin, but idk its just been a thought in the back of my mind. Oh and i hear fernie is the place to go for early season. Maybe a thanksgiving jaunt for me.

if you want powder, steeps, terrain, etc., don't go to breck or anything like that.. if you're going to colorado, steamboat, crested butte, telluride... vail is really expensive but that fits the bill too.. the only benefit to going somewhere like breck is that you can get to a-basin, keystone, copper, vail, and ski cooper within an hour.

copper is pretty sick for steeps too, but you're not going to find anything like Jackson Hole there.

breck, i dont know what you kids are smoking but if you know where to go breck has some of the best powder skiing around, you dont have to fight with people or trees either. lake chutes and arts bowl are amazing on a poder day, along with cucumber bowl. if you want to tree ski, look no further than 6 chair or e chair. plus we all know how good the park is. if you have bad luck youll just spend your time cruiseing freeway with cool people like t.j. schiller, sammy carlson, and andreas hatviet(sp). let me put it this way, most of coppers pro team is usualy over at breck because breck is mo betta. you can hostel for 27 a night at the fireside inn where they feed you and everything, or i could proaly hook you up with a deal on a place around there for cheap as well.

I am taking advantage. im goin skiing out west. i ski on the tiny little hill with 300 ft elevation if its lucky! so this is a special thing for me. it will be my first time out west. plus im still in hihg school on a college spring break so i have a limit on what i can still do!

seriously???? bachelor doesnt do anything special at all for spring break, and mhy on earth mt baker? go to hood maybe?? but my suggestion is mammoth. i used to live there and now live in bend (bachelor) so take my advice.. plus bachy is loaded with gapers over spring break, but i guess everywhere is..

i do have a month to ski... but i the friend i go with can only get off spring break week from work so that is when we r goin. im a senior in high school sophmore in college... i dont go to high school so i get my college break. plus im not the get drunk type of guy... i think i would have more fun skiin!

only suckers pay $1000 to go drink on a beach.

i went to jackson over spring break last year and THE best time of my life. my mind was blown the entire week.

come to cali mammoth during spring break is insane.....

girls

some untracked pow if u can find it

beautiful park

great snow

did i mention the hot girls

drinks

parties evrywhere...

go to whistler, if its spring rates its not that pricey and they get alotta pow in the spring (usually)

vail is always reliable, u know it will have snow come spring break. i love vail, i always go there at spring break. so much terrain, i rarely ski park. park is not wat u go out west for, it for skiing.

Go to Tahoe dammit. It's definetly the place to be. It will either be snowing like crazy or sunny and warm. You can't miss. Or Mammoth for the same reason. I'm heading to Tahoe this spring break, I can't wait. Oh yeah and some of the resorts have special spring break rates for college students so you can ski cheap most of March.

mammoth has the best spring skiing hands down. it also has some amazing bc and arguably bigger jumps than any other place.

Drinking age is 18(QC, AB) or 19 (BC.ON). It's pretty much a suggestion in Quebec. Don't come to Tremblant if you're not from the east coast.  And i'd have to agree that paying a thousand bucks to go drink on a beach with a bunch of jocks is a bad return on investment.

go to whistler if u can find the cash to do so. i went out there on a ski trip with like 10 kids and we all stayed in a pretty decent hotel for 5 or 6 days for 1300 a piece which included airfare, tickets, lodging and breakfast. idk how we worked it out but if u take more than 5 kids u can get a deal. if not then id say jackson hole, its cheap to stay at a motel 6 or something and the skiing is unbelievable.
