lets make our guesses, what mountain on the east will open first?

I WANT SKI SUNDOWN, even tho it wont hapen tehehe

I'm gonna guess Sunday River, they've been first for the past few years. Although, Mount Snow will have their pre-season thing again too.

hopefully the Beast dude, Killington is the right distance from me, come shred with the crew when it does open though

Bye officially opening with trails and lifts, Killy no doubt. Sure Mount Snow may have a lift open for that one patch of snow, but can you really call that being open?

Maine knows exactly what it's doing. Sugarloaf will have 921 acres this year (169 acres more than Killington) and Sunday River will be the first to open again, for the fourth year in a row.

that is true... and omg killington has a stairway!!! i heard that the stairs make snowmaking more efficient

/sarcasm

but for real sunday always gets colder temps and sooner than killy or snow, hence they've opened atleast a week before everyone else in the east for the past 4 years. and i would bet that this year will be five

This year will be the fourth year, not the fifth.
"Sunday River often boasts one of the longest seasons in the east. The official season runs from November through late April, but the resort has been known to be among the first to open anywhere in the United States in October. Sunday River earned the title of first to open in the east for three years running from 2007/2008 to 2009/2010, opening on Halloween or before all three years. For those who begin itching to get on the slopes sometime in mid-summer, Sunday River is one resort to watch closely."

sunday always stays open... once they have snow unless its liek a heatwave on october 20th lol

killy had to close and open a few times last year. sunday river stayed open the entire time. so i think you may be wrong

lol, definitely gonna be

WOODBURY CT

best ski area in the fucking galaxy.

the funny thing is they actually pride themselves in competing with killington, et al for the first opening. it's hysterical.

LOLOLOL hahahahhaha I remember the Woodbury edit on Lines website like 4 years ago. Twas an ignant fest. Never been though, cuz the SOUTH-INGTON be the shizz (free season pass lolwut?). Southington aint that bad tho.

Nah, Sunday River always opens on like Halloween and then closes for a few weeks. Killy opened and stayed open for like 3 weeks before they had to close.

my guess is sunday river or killington.

SR has opened first in new england the last 2 years...at least according to them

What's that Sunday River? You have to make your own snow....?

I told ya before, Killy's got it.

exceptionally false. i know because i ski there. Last year first in the easy and the only one to stay open. Killington put in the stair case so they wouldnt have to close and open again like last year.

I can't wait for Killy! Should be sick! If they open in October, I may have to take a day off work to go on the weekend.

they have opened first 2 years in a row hahah... but killy might have it this year... sunday just doesnt have the temps right now.. but vermont seems to be colder

mike im disappointed in u, how dare u talk to The BEAST like that. I thought you knew better. And the stairways just there so they DONT have to make snow at the lower elevations, and people can just take the gondola down. Oh Yea BTDUBS Killington will win this year

so somebody told me that mount snow is having there early season and killington is opening sunday. any truth to that?
