What motivates you?

did a bit of digging and found this video in an older thread but I didn't find part 2 anywhere. I find these so inspiring, they get me pumped up.

I want to know what motivates YOU. What gets you to push yourself? To take that extra step even when you don't think its possible?
 
Chance. I mean ya never how how things might turn out so why not try. Sure it doesn't turn out great all the time but it does every so often and that is enough to keep me trying.

Also life, everyday I wake up blessed with another shot at the world. Might as well see life as an opportunity. We ain't dead yet so why quit trying, there will come a time when I can try no more but until then I'll keep sticking my neck out.
 
Skiing and avoiding back surgery. Last January I was diagnosed with scheuermann's kyphosis. basically it makes the top part of my back hunched over and the lower part of my back go in. Basically if you looked at me from the side it would look like an S. Anyway, I have to wear a back brace to stunt the progression of the curvature and avoid surgery. Every night I also have to do some PT exercises to try and reduce the curvature. My back is getting better, but I still need to keep at it to avoid having spinal fusion surgery and not being able to ski for the rest of my life. I gain the motivation to battle through this and fight it from skiing, and keeping my ability to ski. Simple as that
 
So much respect to that guy. That alone motivates me. But in other terms, I'd say my biggest motivator is that I know if I don't work hard now, I won't have a job to work hard at later.
