What modern invention has had the most influence on your life?

Its definetly the evolution of the toliet and sewage systems, or our entire world would be filled with holes of shit. That would be awful
 
computers, the internet, and specifically search engines. I wouldn't have my job if search engines didn't exist, which means I wouldn't have moved to California after college (well maybe i would have but who knows)
 
I have to agree with everyone else that the Internet/ computer is the best. But the other inventions that are important to me would have to be digital camera or dslrs and mp3 players.

but yea I LOVE my ipod so much, I love just chilling by myself sometimes listening to Above and Beyond's Trance Around The World... It's what I'm doing right now.
There are so many different inventions that have affected my life... these are the obvious ones but are often overlooked
1. cars/transport vehicles 2. Construction equipment (think of where you would live without cement mixers or trucks to transport raw materials)3. communication -cell phones/internet4. refrigerators

Sooo many others... but i feel that these are some of the essentials.
 
So true. Type I diabetes used to be a fatal disease. Now I run around with an insulin pump and can do and eat whatever the fuck I want with little to no consequences. Other than that, it's definitely computer/internet, cell phones, and cars
 
this. I think we take for granted how different our lives would be if we could get in a car and travel wherever we want in a relatively short time.

Oh yeah, and condoms.
 
computer (with internet), i can learn about what i want, when i want, where i want to

whether im sitting at home or in a mcdonalds wifi (who actually brings their laptops there??) either way if im able to access the internet i have to potential to learn anything i want to

two days ago i decided i wanted to learn some basic hacking
today i learned about different natural oddities that occur throughout the world, and a bunch of ancient tech theories and discoveries
tomorrow i plan on learning some computer science

thanks to the coupling of these two inventions the only limits on my life are the ones i put on myself, that being said instead of educating myself about all this awesome shit.... im sitting here on facebook and ns... doing nothing

Besides even if Im wrong its still the best invention ever. Everyone talking about how your so influenced by the internet and personal computers. When you are on weed a tree could influence you so by that logic it puts it on top.

I still can;t quite tell if you're trolling or not, but...

1) Marijuana was never "invented", it's a naturally occurring plant.

and

2) Marijuana was definitely not invented in the '20s. It's been used by humans for thousands of years though.

But I do agree that it has had a lot of influence on my life

i think modern transportation and medicine rival computers and shit.. comuputers/interwebs have huge influence on us but think how radically different our lives would be without automobiles etc and medicine..that's influence

and to the dude who thinks grass was invented in the 20th century, youre fucking high. but yeah it's good stuff. deserves an award
