What may I do wrong at the take off?

Never been into park skiing but tried some for the first time in like 7 years late season, pow and forest run is my memo and I gotta say my confidence takes a huge hit sliding into the park but I want to get better this year.

Thing is I don't generate enough momentum in my spins, 360s was easy but it ends there, made a few 5s but that's it and then I only hit the biggest kickers available (although quite small ones) but enough for guys to do cork 9s. So obliviously something in my technique is way of, wish I had taped it but no so I ask you what I might do wrong.

Cheers.

you need to pop off of the lip, then spin. wind up for the spin before you leave the snow though.

also, try to keep yourself together while spinning. your problem might be your in-air form. people that are sloppy in the air generally cannot spin as much because their sloppiness causes them to stop/slow down their spins prematurely.

if possible, footage/pictures of you spinning would be very helpful in explaining this.

pop

tuck harder

spot landing

it sounds to me like your getting a little sloppy in the air, have someone video you and then rewatch the footy to see what is going on. cheers mate

Like everyone else says, you have to get a solid pop.

Another thing is experience, do the 3s till they are super easy, then move to 5s. Going from 3s-5s is one of the easier transmissions so it won't take long. If you rush it, the injury factor will become a lot greater and since its the base for your park life you don't want the "holes" that often occur when rushing things during your beginner time.

Don't rush it and have a good time

Pop you all say, I guess it has to be it especially since I remember me being quite unsure how to do it while initiation for a rotation. JP was at it a bit though.

It really helps if you get a friend to film you. When you watch yourself from third person you can really highlight your errors and correct them. Cheers!
