What math course are you taking- highschoolers

im a freshman and im in Math A. and it got really tough this because manily because my teacher is a shitty teacher and i just dont understand it. last year was easy mainly because i had a great teacher, so does the math i use in math A get carried on to geometry and all the other courses ? if you dont know math A is an algebra course and im getting sick of the 64% average when i was getting a B plus throught the 1st and 2nd quarter. so help me out and tell me what im looking foward to in the next couple years of math..might be a pointless thread but id like to know

I hate math. Im in Geometry. Some how the teachers thought I was smart and so im in honors and I have a d in it
 
don't get hung up on math. high school will be over before you know it. don't stress out too much about it cause its not worth it (not saying you shouldnt study, but dont let it ruin your day).

its not that easy when you're pretty dumb.. and btw you need 4 math credits to get into college right ? say if u fail math A twice and pass in once and pass geomtry what do you do since you only have 2 credits..... summer schools ? 5 yr plan ?
 
Ya you'll be using that algebra for the rest of your life practically...get used to it. I took up through stats and AP Calc in high school, they were pretty easy all things considered.

fucking algebreic fractions are a pian in my ass and dont understand one bit and my teachers seems not to care at all
 
Hahaha no offense buddy but math A is the easiest math class you'll take in high school. Math B is twice as hard. The math A regents exam is cake. Basically if you fail it you have down syndrome the curve is so big. But I'm in IB studies bitches, and it's hard
 
theres a curve on the regents ? i dotn really understand the curve like the whole this many ppl have to pass and this many people fail... explain ?
 
im taking advanced functions this year, and next year im taking advanced functions grade 12, and calculas
 
yeah in NY there's a curve on regents exams. Having bad teachers sucks but i promise you'll pass the final if you study a little
 
if you go to a suny school or a NY school they look at it alot... out of state they dont look at it at all really
 
don't worry about one class. colleges won't not admit you over one class your freshman year. just as long as you do well for your high school career you'll do fine.
 
Math? El Oh El!!! I'm a Sophomore taking Math 2 and I hate it. My grade went to shit after a unit of Proofs... That shit didn't make any sense to me and a lot of other people I know.
 
Vectors and also Advanced Functions, Vectors is such a hard class but im trying hard to make it easy, effort it key.
