What makes a good ski graphic?

What do you like in a ski graphic? Tell me your preference. Which of these aspects do you like?

-Something lowkey, like salomon's graphics

-Simple yet striking like rossignol's graphics or the falcon/bird on the AR5s

-Characters or artwork like on many of Line's skis or some of volkl's skis

-Really detailed & busy full ski graphics like K2's skis.

-Full ski cartoony or comic style graphics like found on older volkl skis

-Heavy presidence of the name of the ski/company on the ski like Armada, 4Frnt or Line.

-A lot of colors? A few colors? Two colors? One color?

-''gimmicks'' like the hollograms found on the Troublemakers.

-Something fairly non-descript like older K2 Skis or some of dynastar's skis.

Please, tell me what aspects of a ski graphic you like, love or hate.

im not a big fan of the busy PE graphics. i want a picture, but not something that takes 5 minutes to figuer out. i like LINE graphics because their so easy to identify, all you need is one quick glance and you know what your looking at. As for graphics like the ones on 4frnt and armada, i think their to simple.

I have to go with the Line graphics too. Also the ones of the Faction skis are really cool. I did a product re-design for my commercial art class of the AR5. I should upload it to a server and poast it here because I like what I did alot.

and ya armada and 4Front are too simple.

I like stuff that's easy to understand like Line's graphics, but that faction graphic posted up top was pretty nice. The K2's aren't all that bad either, they're nice to look at. Bases are a big deal too though I think. I mean aftre all that is half of the ski. The PE base is pretty sweet, the Mike Nicks are prime too, Armadas aren't too bad either.

Bland is definately crap though, salomon is pushing it with the boring factor, and black bases with one little logo is junk.

i like diffrent aspects from each type of ski, rossi becuase they use only a few colours and the designs are usually smooth colours this year like the BC. i really like armada because the company name is very large and easy to see. i love the K2 graffiti but i dont think its my first choice, jsut a diffrent choice. I really like most of the pro models especially these days and in the years to come i can see them being great, becuase there taking into consideration what the rider wants then merging it with what the consumer wants, and i love to see what riders want on there skis. but in all reality if i were to create a ski it would be all one colour with the name of the company down the ski, a little crroked so it goes off one of the sides, stencil style, that is all, mabye 3 colours at max.

i lke variety, something different and often times complicated, that is totally original, like the seth pistols or the PEs, i also like the futuristic look of the 1080s

what makes a good graphic is no graphic. The best looking ski ever is the mad_trix, and it's black with the tips white. So simple yet so sick. More ski companies should take example on those. A ski like Public Enemy is way too much artistic I think.

Freeskiing is a lifestyle, and true skiers are the ones who live this lifestyle, not the ones who follow it.

I really still like the tan and orange Rossi BC topsheet. That new dragon profile is super lame on the other models. Old Dynastar Candide was slick as well with the painting, but the printed base doesn't pop out in pics. Some other favorites were the El Camino becaue it was wild then and the 1st Seth pro model in blue or red. I'm interested in seeing what Salomon does with the new pro model offerings and lastly, Lines have always been fun to look at as well, especially the Skogan 'bomber.' Classy.

I like the grafiti feel to the logo for Line skis - looks like spraypaint. Also, their graphics on top and bottom kick ass. mo'ships

I just like really simple graphics. Something like the old Madtrix. The ARVs are pretty cool black and pink. I know k2 has really intricate designs, but I like them aswell.

fujatives are at the top of my list right now, line's graphics are pretty sweet too. Armada's are nice too, i like the billboard effect. i don't really like the seth pistol, and the PE's could use some more color.

^Dope. What kind of paint are you using?

Faction has some great graphics, aside from the anarchy symbol. I like bold bright colors with some simple abstract graphics.

a design that draws your eyes in to the skis to get a better . those are skis with good design, and i think most of the line skis have good designs

i like pretty plain skis, nothing to confusing. last years scratch's were pretty sweet. i find that Public Enemy's graphics aren't that great, there's to much going on in it. you have to really look to see whats going on.

yea i like simple graphics like rossignol, line, and armada, but not to simple like the 4frnt. i also like the pe for the artistic feel but i wouldnt ski a ski that covered with graphics. i like the fugitives better. i really dont like the salomons either.
